@JohnRennie I just watched my first episode of university challenge with plexiglass barriers between the individual contestants, they didn't show the audience though.

@skullpatrol my mother is a big fan of university challenge. I must admit I don't watch it.

They should just use taped clapping

My college took part when I was there. I wasn't in the team but I went along to watch and cheer. We won the first round but got knocked out in the second round.
