For example, saying 2: Auto = HP wouldn't count as a valid clue imo because DAS HP doesn't mean anything

I always thought any clue was valid

Clues can be *anything*, not just crossword-style clues

Same here. A random clue is more difficult for attackers to solve too

I was under the impression that technically you could clue anything, but it's kind less fun and against the spirit if you did, say, "<random clue> then add DASHP to the front"
