It can be because: - some users haven't seen it yet - some others find it too broad and therefore hard to answer in a good way, but haven't necessarily voted - or people that think it is a duplicate while it is not

They just see it's about cheese and say it's a duplicate. They didn't see I talk about vegan cheese for a specific meal : pizza, and not about any vegetarian cheese. :(
sometimes people just don't read very carefully. I've made plenty of mistakes myself. And some people may have made a mistake due to not actually being veg*n or only just starting out
