@Mr.Wizard "Possible duplicate..." comments are automatically deleted though. THere should be some kind of badge for amount of questions closed as a duplicate after proposing one. (-2 to count if it was not the case/was reopened)
Would geography/cultural background be of any importance at all? (After all decisions taken by mods will reflect subjectivity, or an algorithm might perform better.) If so, I note that longitudes close to Greenwich are somewhat underrepresented?
So taking the "Duterte-style" (other names do also come to mind...) danger out of the consideration, what remains is the question whether it may be advantageous to be awake while other mods may be asleep? :)
@halirutan That is a nice line: "Kuba is near Greenwich" :) While reading about mod-work here makes it sound as if the job amounts to (avoid) falling asleep while watching 10 and 20ks to the work, I do find that being in a different time zone might help with that.
@gwr "other names do also come to mind" This made me laugh, regardless of who we elect 4/5 of our mods will come from countries with leaders who are often called illiberal and a danger to democracy. lol.
I agree that having someone covering a different time zone might be useful.
@Kuba Indeed I have many times thought that Mr.Wizard were some kind of "big daddy in the sky" - I would double check what I am posting simply knowing He is there somewhere right now, even if I cannot see him... :D
@Kuba I don't know about the comments but I imagine votes to close are tracked. It may be possible to pull that from the Data Explorer. At the least user names remain on successfully closed posts.
