@Adám hey uh i'm trying to install dyalog+ride but i'm on wayland and it wants xorg for aplkeys etc and im not sure what to do

the interpreter just exists saying aplkeys file not found

I'm just booting my VM to remember where aplkeys lives

there is a file called aplkeys.sh which is supposed to set up the keyboard

standard advice is setxkbmap gb,apl -option grp:win_switch

but I'm guessing that's where it falls apart (no xorg)?

no it sets xkb alright

oh right, are you trying to start ride or Dyalog in terminal?

i start it by npm start because node mk dist says (node:448741) UnhandledPromiseRejectionWarning: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, stat '/tmp/electron-packager/linux-x64/Ride-4.3-linux-x64/resources/app/node_modules/.bin/wdio' and exits

okay to start with try just "dyalog" in a terminal

just to make sure that works (I suspect it will)

is that pacman? sorry super unfamiliar with installing on arch. I'd ask whoever you asked to get an arch license

i just downloaded it from official dyalog site and unpacked the rpm and installed manually

ah ok makes slightly more sense now

since officially it's just rpm and deb

I think Marshall uses Arch maybe but he can compile Dyalog because he develops it

I don't know how he does install it
