@El'endiaStarman Right:)

That way you can exclude the survivor bias.

Does anyone happen to know of a free and good integral calculator? Need to approximate an integral out 12 places, and WA doesn't manage
Mathematica?
> Characters aren’t so much pieces being moved on a board than the board is being moved under them
^ From a Game of Thrones review. I think there's a game idea here...
@MartinEnder Not free? And I kinda wanted to do an integral quickly

@SimplyBeautifulArt Maxima?
Even available on tryit online!
@MartinEnder What I'm imagining is a board where pieces are initially in some fixed positions and the only move you have is to rotate a row or column of the board, Labyrinth-style (possibly shifting a new tile into the board, instead of a proper rotation). The board could either really be moved underneath the pieces or the pieces could be moved along with the board.
If the board moves underneath the pieces, there'd have to be some meaning to the tiles. I could imagine either colours, so that pieces on the same colour can interact, or movement instructions which indirectly move the pieces.
not completely that, but related:
:D

Well, if anyone wants to add alternating series up faster, I wrote a simple little program for it.

Spoiler: it's more like 99% of mathematicians cannot solve this.
The Quora answer I linked above goes through a solution.
Nasty stuff is all I have to say
@flawr I did say "Labyrinth-style" :P

If your main game actions involve moving the board around, doesn't that become the game piece?
