@El'endiaStarman oh! have you worked with the matchmaking code?
that stuff really interests me

Absolutely hilarious: The Overfitting Toolbox
> A common problem in experimental science is if the analysis of a data set yields no significant result even though there is a strong prior belief that the effect exists. In this case, overfitting can help, a technique that has become common practice in psychology and neuroimaging.
> We present The Overfitting Toolbox (TOT), a set of computational tools that allow to systematically exploit multiple model estimation, parallel statistical testing, varying statistical thresholds and other techniques that allow to increase the number of positive inferences.

@PhiNotPi wait, it just does the same thing as other statistical programs, but in batch? How is this not an improvement?
@NathanMerrill Not yet. I think the Injustice 2 devs coded their own matchmaking routines anyway.

@PhiNotPi unfortunately way too accurate

Is there an efficient "matrix factorization" algorithm where the goal is to express some target matrix as the product of a given list of "primes"?
Maybe that's a bad analogy, the context is quantum logic gates, where I want to construct some arbitrary gate (matrix) from a set of available gates (also matrices).
All quantum logic gates are unitary matrices.
what kind of entries does this matrix have?
complex numbers, unfortunately
