@amWhy Will it be reopened? Can I get extra votes? Will it be reopened? Can I get ...
@user21820 worse yet is when a user is blocked from asking further questions: Goes to meta: This is unfair? How can I earn more points? Why can't I ask more questions? I added three words to a closed question, will that edit improve my standing so I can ask questions? Will others please, pretty please, upvote my downvoted posts to help me remove the question block? I don't know how to improve them? Will others improve them for me, and upvote them, too, for me??
@amWhy That's not the worst. The worst is when the pity voters go aww...
@user21820 Indeed, that's the worse. If users would respond to pity solicitations in meta, with "tough" and "let this be a learning lesson", instead of "Awww... wet me hewp you", we'd get somewhere!
Well it's not like we don't like pity or sympathy or empathy or even help, but pity voting is simply destroying the meaning of voting. It's like in an election in which the candidate that tells a more moving story gets more votes.
Which sadly does happen too. =|
Oh well, @XanderHenderson ought to find another video for us on democrazy.

@user21820 I think there's a difference between democracy and "populism". Unfortunately, populists often conflate the two.
@amWhy Yea, but I've not seen nor been able to think of any way to actually make democracy work properly, because I think that what each candidate does and says can have significant impact on the vote of the people, since most of the people do not actually know the personalities of the candidates. And the popular media is another big (if not bigger) confounding factor.
