@user21820: but who uses android app! apps are not good for creating content, they are good for consuming content. I exclusively use Firefox with desktop mode on my smartphone. No difference at all compared to laptop (apart from lack of physical keyboard).

@user21820: then consider yourself lucky! mathjax rendering is slow in smartphone browsers and takes up lot of memory. Sometimes I manage to type a full 10 line math equation and due to memory I have to kill firefox. Very frustrating, but the phone is very handy
perhaps the experience on tab might be better (but i don't own a tab)
@ParamanandSingh Well there are 2 possible solutions. (1) Right-click on some equation on the main site and choosing Math Settings −> Math Renderer −> Plain source, and then switch back only when you want to render it. (2) Use the bookmarklets here, which are also linked from this meta post.
I sort of knew those existed for MathJax in chat, so it didn't take long to find them. =)
@SimplyBeautifulArt: your question about gamma values and their link with AGM (and elliptic integrals) really took away my weekend! Although I still don't know about $\Gamma(1/5)$ this overall exercise helped me to revisit Borwein's great book Pi and the AGM.

I consider my assessments to be fair and have had them vetted by more experienced faculty. Also, the course averages are usually high in this course (mine was 83.5 or so). However, it seems like I have a strange dist...
Yes, your grades should definitely come out as a bell curve. In fact, you want all your student's to be aiming for a 50, because anything above that is overachieving.
@SimplyBeautifulArt I don't fully agree with your sentiments. If there is a bell curve, it should be graphed over the interval between 50%(or lower) and 100%. And, as discussed in that post, it should depend on the nature of the class. I don' think there's a one correct answer to the question.
