Dialect is a mystery to me.

i never made much effort to look into it except for direct lookup on the occasion when i run into something

but it probably has the most bang for buck for impressing people

or in a more positive light to pay some respect to a local culture

Does anyone have a Japanese movie to recommend? Doesn't have to be very new.. A few months ago I saw Railways 2 (I think) which was alright, and the other day I saw Cold Fish which was strangely good.. Something thrillery like that would be cool.

My professor asked us "in what context can you say 「わたしはうなぎです」?" Then some students answered, "when we do コスプレ in a school festival."

Then he explained the difference between 私はうなぎです and 私がうなぎです.

He said you can say 私はオレンジジュース but not "I am orange juice". He said we should say "I'll have orange juice"
