@JACK 便利屋 should be put in a service industry. コンビニ should be put in a retailer. According to this pdf. So long as I know 便利屋 does not sell goods, but does service like plumbering, walking dogs, pruning Ume trees in your house, etc. Whereas コンビニ like Seven Eleven does not do laundry service.
@JACK When I said 屋 doesn't necessarily mean room, I meant 屋 also has the usage of marking occupation like 殺し屋 for assassin. 八百屋 for produce store, etc. That's the usage seen in 便利屋 too
My Japanese is ok. It has definitely been better, but I keep it fresh with family that speaks it (on occasion), and phone calls with friends when we both have the time.
