I can think of ways to say what I want to say naturally, I'm just not sure if this feels weird to me because it's wrong or because I'm wrong.
When I was starting out I always had issues with relative clauses that would have had a dangling preposition in English not having anything in Japanese, and similarly with clefting. I feel like this might just be that issue cropping up again, but am not sure.
(In case it helps, an example: 事務所にいる時、仕事に夢中だ。 ⇒ 仕事に夢中であるのは事務所にいる時だけだ。)
