What I mean is that a place that's not French-speaking-only isn't going to attract experts. It'll have some natives, but few actual experts.

not that they are fluent in English, but that wouldn't put them off or be much of a drawback for them

but I'd put it that way: if the site gets enough traffic that it can be successfully split into specific subsites, I will gladly support that

but let's first get a working site before we bicker about subdivising

I don't agree with Jeff (comparing ELU with Urban Dictionary is stupid and insulting), but I have heard the sentiment that ELU is too basic from other sources

mais bon, une des raisons, c'est que pendant des années les gouvernements (de droite comme de gauche) ont acheté la paix dans les banlieues en fermant les yeux voire encourageant les islamistes
