@bluefeet is there a way to know what the most active day of the bash was (the day when the most hats were given out)?
also a chart like pops made last year for "Every! Body! Gets! A Hat!" would be interesting for this years "Just Here for the Hat"
Oh, also how many users only had two hats (Just Here for the Hat and probably "I Have A Little Dreidel")
because I'm wondering how having SO on by default this year changed the hat numbers. How many that normally would not of bothered participated, vs how many just inflated the hat count by 2.
2015's WB had 322,747 hats by 72,182 users. this year 797,074hats 215,960 users.
according to my quick calculations that means the default on SO not only brought a LOT more people to the WB, but they did stuff (an average of about 3 more hats each) then last year.
My question is how much of that is just the "I was here and voted hats"? Or are we creating a whole new generation of fanHatics?
PS thanks for the extra special consideration in the blog post. I know the "The Hatter" section was about me. ;)
I should probably stop writing before I amass an unreadable wall of text, and @bluefeet never wants to ping me again.
Following the tradition of previous years 1, 2, now that the wrap-up blog post about Winter Bash has been posted, can we have some more stats about hats? Including:
A count of all hats awarded
How many users did it take to get "Just Here for the Hat" on each site?
Plus anything else of note a...
