I just got trendsetter. I was playing with the hats, and I think it was as I was playing with the 8th one that I noticed the hat had appeared. Some I fiddled with the controls, others I left at the default location they popped up at. None were on for more than about 30-60 seconds before I changed them.

I'm pretty sure I've changed my hat every day, so it may be what Panda said about changing it 3 consecutive days.

I changed my hat again today, just once, and the trendsetter popped up within 10 minutes. Most of the time I have been using one hat, only a short time each day (in the last few) I have been playing around with changing hats.

I have answered on Life Hack and on Arts and Crafts, no more than just life experience needed there.

And I would love you to post a good question on travel, so I can answer it for you.

For questions on Life hack you just need a question about a real life problem. No computer needed for the Q.

and you can still get polymath - the vote isn't time sensitive - the hat is basically, answer within 30 minutes of the question being asked which also gets accepted, that is later voted to +1.

so once you get mild mannered, and UV on that will get you polymath as well.

I was #2 on the sites leaderboard, well behind #1, so no harm in not getting that extra hat. This year I have not even started looking for one, as there is almost no unanswered content in Travel.

Less than 1% and all of that I either can not answer or is too new for tumbleweed.

I might look to get the tumbleweed on one of the smaller sites, but not today.
