@AndrewLi wow, that's weird. I thought the desktop site gave you all the features of the desktop site, even if you're viewing it on a phone. I wonder if the snowflake is using something that your phone's browser doesn't support. (Dunno what that would be, but...) . Have you tried multiple browsers?
@AndrewLi I noticed a few hours ago that the snowflake was slow to show up on page loads -- assumed it was us pounding the snot out of the server or something. So maybe it was that?
@SamuelLiew Most of it's covered I feel. I'll have a think about it if you decide on that one. Though pick a question/answer you want to bounty - don't mind us just for the hats :)
I'm also curious - do you get the hat if you award a bounty to a competing answer?
I've already got a bounty going on a question I answered
@Rob Yes, has to be during WB, proven here stackoverflow.com/q/40581507/584192 (10k), user Emile didn't receive hat while I did, on a bounty self-awarded to a competing answer
@StephenLeppik ah. Ok, that's less bad. In general, let's try to remember that the things we do in search of hats can create work for other people (e.g. reviewers) or interrupt other activities (e.g. an in-progress answer to a question being closed/edited). I'm not saying don't do stuff; SE should be designing hats to stimulate positive activity. I'm just saying: let's try to be careful. General comment, not aimed at anyone in particular.
I've set myself to go earn the Lifesaver hat:
So,
I went and posted an answer which was accepted.
And, here we see that that question did result in a tumbleweed badge for the OP.
Am I misunderstanding the requirement or is there something else wrong?
Any ideas?
@SamuelLiew encouraging users to post answers that are immediately deleted after getting an upvote and you award the bounty is highly disappointing. I get you want to help people get hats but it's encouraging bad behavior and I'd recommend stopping it
From what I saw: there were two comments. The first one was 'possible duplicate of...' which had 5 upvotes. Then immediately after was another normal comment, with (i think) 7 upvotes
