we're already definitely not "the rules of the game and nothing else stack exchange" because we handle questions about story, related apps for playing the game, etc

plus asking about notable things that happened at tournaments isn't merely trivia, it helps us understand the tournament landscape. when there's a mistake or problem, understanding how it happened helps us avoid the same situation ourselves.

i mean at some point it definitely is trivia unrelated to the game: "what was this funny hat this player wore in the grand finals and where can i buy it?" is definitely not an MTG question

but "how did this player declare their deck wrong if it was loaded into Arena?" is very firmly inside MTG territory
