@IsaacMoses thanks for the feedback. I've deleted most of the comments (and left one in case someone comes along later and wants to raise similar issues).

@MonicaCellio Thanks for your moderation

Hello Reb @Michoel!

5:52 AM
@HodofHod Hi! (In my timezone (Australia) don't get much of a opportunity to chat with people here)

6:22 AM
Hello, Reb @HodofHod and Reb @Michoel!
@Michoel Whereabouts in Austl. do you live, if you don't mind sharing?

Hi @msh210. I live in Melbourne.

@Michoel Oh, do you know the... oh, wait, it's a city of four million? so you don't actually know everyone? Hm.

@msh210 @msh210 LOL, though there are only about 60,000 Jews so that narrows it down a bit more

@Michoel Okay, then. Did you know Sala Drzarga, aleha hashalom? She lived in Caulfield. I also have cousins there, in Balaclava I believe, whose names escape me at the moment alas.
Sala Drzarga's son is Chaim Gelber IIRC, also of Caulfield though I think he's made aliya since.

@msh210 I don't; I have only been living here for a couple years.

6:29 AM
@Michoel Ah, she died perhaps five years ago.
<thinking aloud>Drat. What are my cousins' names?....
@Michoel Ah, yes. Meal Mart! I forget their names, but they run (or ran) a store/caterer called Meal Mart. Are you familiar with it?

@msh210 @msh210 Of course, that's were I did my Shabbos shopping this week :-)

@Michoel :-) Do you know the owner's name, by any chance?

@msh210 @msh210 No, not sure his name, but I believe his daughter is getting married some time soon

@Michoel Oh, mazal tov! :-)

@msh210 @msh210 Does Unfanger make sense?

6:42 AM
@Michoel No, that doesn't sound right. Thanks for checking! It seems from that page that they registered the business in '02, but I know Meal Mart is older than that, so I wonder what that means. Perhaps the store registered then, and it was a caterer before it was a store; or perhaps a new owner bought it in '02 (from my cousin).
...or something else.

@msh210 @msh210 Well the other name that comes up on the history tab there is Golod. It's definitely the store, but perhaps it was registered under something else prior

@Michoel Yeah, I saw. Thanks. No, Golod doesn't sound right either. I really should remember the name. I just saw it again a week or so ago, actually.

@Michoel, Melbourne, eh? That does explain why I don't see you in chat much.

@HodofHod @HodofHod Indeed, and considering Shabbos is in under an hour, and I still have a much to do, I'm gonna have to sign out now

@Michoel. Pity. sorry I missed your above conversation, I was at farbengen.
good Shabbos!

@HodofHod @HodofHod Good Shabbos

@Michoel Shavua Tov when you get this :) Just FYI when you reply to a user in chat by clicking the arrow in the bottom right corner of their message, it automatically pings them, so no need to type their name in again.

3:36 PM
@Michoel nice seeing you here (belatedly). Sorry I missed you.

Oh cool; I did not know this:

A: Add data.SE style "magic links" to comments

balphaMost of these now work. My comment below has the following markdown source: On [main], you are expected to write proper English (as advertised on [english.se]), but here on [metaso] it's more important to have freehand circles, so please [edit] your post, otherwise I'll have to flag you (see ...

I've been doing it the hard way. :-(

Q: Add a markdown shortcut to Ask a New Question

Double AAI notice often enough that I or someone else has to suggest asking a new question (especially to newer users) when discussion in comment threads gets too off topic. I request an addition to the markdown shortcuts such as [edit] and [faq] that would link to currentsite.stackexchange.com/questions...

@DoubleAA It's a pity that "ask" got used for the FAQ link. :-(

@MonicaCellio @msh210 @DoubleAA Re judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/25946/… , just checking: I see activity now under "Phil" that I remember recently was from "Shraga." These are the same person?

6:33 PM
@IsaacMoses Mod terms prevent me from confirming or denying previous usernames (per Shog9).

@DoubleAA Cool. It just looked potentially anomalous, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a horrible mistake that somehow went unnoticed. Now, I can rest assured that if it was a horrible mistake, at least you know about it. :)
... and I'll not do anything in the future to explicitly link the two names, but I don't feel guilty about doing so above, since the anomaly is already evident in very recent comment threads.

@DoubleAA Not sure if that's always consistent with hilchot leshon hara', but like I said, OK in this case, IMO :)

Anyone know where to find Targum Neofiti online?

David Fullerton on February 01, 2013

It’s 2013, almost three years after we first raised money and started growing beyond the first four employees. At the time, Jeff wrote a great blog post about working remotely, basically laying out our plan for how we were going to make it work. Now we’re a few years in and it’s time to update it with, well, what actually happened.

First, where are we now? Stack Exchange now employs 75 people, roughly evenly split between sales (and sales ops and marketing) and product (development, ops, design, community management). The product side is where our remote working happens: we have 16 full-time re …
