@kouty what is "elided" for you in French? the word doesn't exist in English. I thought you meant edited out

OK, well done, I had never met this word before, wonder who uses it but maybe it's just me
 
Wheww! I knew this was a distinguished group of Jewish scholars but learning new English words is the cherry on the cake ! And I'm saying this truly seriously
 
@mbloch I've encountered it in software engineering, roughly as a synonym for "delete," as in a section of code or a requirement.

@mbloch Living in Israel is probably not the best way to go for an advanced English vocabulary.
(of course, getting in to Olam HaBa is probably worth it)

@DoubleAA Yup, you are more than right. But I live in Raanana which is only half way between Israel and the US/England/South Africa. And I travel weekly to work (Europe/US mostly) and speak English most of that time
