Isaac MosesThis question will collect Q&As, formatted for the book, for Days of Awe - Mi Yodeya?. We're breaking this up into five posts for easier management. This question collects material for the Selichot section. Each answer here should cover one question and its answer(s), following this template....

Q: Are there please any statistics on users and their time zones?

Avrohom YitzchokI posted a new question on Friday at around 10 am British Summer Time. I wonder when the responses will start coming in. Are there please any statistics on users and their time zones? (It's not that vital that I will check each user's information individually).

Unexpected result: Running this query for SO (one month only to limit craziness) and SO in Russian shows that they both have the same daily nadir of activity: 0200 GMT. I would have expected Russian SO's activity to be significantly more easterly-focused.

@Mods I have flagged two posts from a particular user on related questions but didn't know exactly what category I should have flagged them as
The user has other posts that are similar
Should I continue flagging them, and if so, what should I flag them as?
@MonicaCellio @DoubleAA @msh210
(I ask this question assuming you are able to figure out what I'm talking about. If not, let me know)
hello @BSteinhurst

@Daniel if one of the standard flag reasons applies, use that. If not, use a custom flag to tell us what to look at. If it's something about the user (e.g. a pattern of behavior), custom flags are the way to go.
I see two flags from you, on posts from two different users (but similar context).
@MonicaCellio Oh I didn't even realize one of those flags was for a different user
the rest are all from one user
were those flags appropriate?
I was borderline on them
and the others I'd consider even more borderline
@Daniel they are not inappropriate. Those particular flags have the benefit of sending things to a review queue, giving the community the opportunity to evaluate. I can't speak for the other mods, but in cases like the ones you flagged I prefer to give the community first crack at it, so I won't be handling those flags immediately. (In a more blatant situation I would; these are, as you said, borderline.)
Anyway, when you see stuff you're not sure about, please do flag. The built-in flags sometimes enable things to happen without mod involvement, which is good. If it does require mod involvement, or if it's something you need to explain, the "other" option goes straight to us.

@Daniel Seem appropriate to me.

@Daniel hello, always good to say hello to another geometric design.
