@MonicaCellio Thanks I feel so empowered. My notification bar says there are 3 review items, but when I click review it is empty. Is there a separate review queue which I am being alerted about now? How do I see it?

2:38 AM
@YEZ that number is a source of a lot of confusion. No, there's not another queue; it's just that that number shows everything that's pending, but if you've skipped reviews or for some other reason can't do something about one, you won't be offered it. So you see "3", click through, and find nothing, because maybe there are 3 things you skipped earlier and they haven't been resolved yet.
(The number is the same for everybody; customizing that per person per page load would be expensive.)

If I delete a post with upvotes on it, do I lose the rep I got from that question? .....I know I cleared 1400 by a lot last week, but was confused to see "1395" yesterday.....
The only thing I could think of was that I deleted an answer with a score of 4 when Matt gave a significantly better answer

@Shokhet if a post of yours is deleted (no matter who deleted it), the rep changes from that post also go away. Exception: if a post that was live on the site for long enough (I think 60 days) and had a score of at least 3, you don't lose the rep -- this was put in place to avoid penalizing people when posts that used to be in scope aren't now because the site changed. (That's not the poster's fault so the poster shouldn't be penalized.)

@MonicaCellio Got it. Thanks!

@Shokhet Note that a better answer doesn't demand you remove yours, unless you feel it invalidates yours.

@Shokhet and I see you're back over 1400 again. :-) There's no obligation to delete an answer because a later one is better, by the way. But I understand and appreciate the desire to keep things focused. (Note: I haven't reviewed the question you're talking about, just responding to what you said here.)

@YEZ I actually just remembered this meta post after asking this question, thanks ;)
@MonicaCellio I know (see above comment), but since my answer didn't even have all the information I had (meaning, I quoted Rashi but didn't translate/explain everything), and Matt's answer had all the information (Rashi fully explained + Tosfos), I felt that my answer didn't really have any purpose in being there anymore
Whatever.....was just wondering what happened to that rep that disappeared....

@Shokhet ok. Just wanted to make sure you didn't feel obligated just because a better answer came along.

@MonicaCellio OK, thanks again :)

@Shokhet you're welcome!

@Shokhet Just to take away any lishma you may be having, you get a badge for removing a post with more than +3. :-P

@YEZ Oh really? Cool!
New badge!! Yay :)

This question is already included in judaism.stackexchange.com/q/23500. I move to close as duplicate. Anyone else? Pinging @Fred just because you're pingable. — msh210 ♦ 1 min ago

Anyone think this is a problem that needs the attention of SE developers?

Q: Hebrew directional "bug"

YEZI know right to left languages are hard to accommodate in left to right processors, but I found an error in the one SE uses. If you are scrolling through a chunk of Hebrew text, pressing the left arrow key moves to the left. However, if you hold shift to select text, pressing the left arrow key...
