:54464380 No, Sabbath is the correct English translation, while Shabbat is a transliteration of one of the currently used pronunciations.

@Adám oh ok, I thought it was "Sabbath", then saw Avi's spelling, googled for it and Shabbat looked correct, so I assumed "Sabbath" was not
 
@AviF.S. Like with my first name, it depends on with whom I'm speaking, and which language I'm speaking with them.
 
@Adám Ah, makes sense. For me, 'Shabbat' is like 'Hanukkah.' Doesn't occur to me to translate in conversation, unless they look confused! Since I don't strictly observe it though, it doesn't come up all that often
