@ephraimhelfgot Thanks! Stupid of me, really, not to do a basic Web search or check WP before asking here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onkelos mentions it also.

@Scimonster 22 hours and 2K views later, it's still on the HNQ ...
@msh210 Yes. I see the HR in that post, but still not in the mods one.

Would you expect anything less?

Q: Where can I get a mod hat?

DanielI understand that mod hats are only intended for mods to have, but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get one anyway? Just like Super Bowl rings are occasionally put up for sale, perhaps mod hats are sometimes made available as well? This question is Purim Torah and is not inte...

@Scimonster Um, no, I suppose I wouldn't. :)

@Daniel I edited the question to better fit the site. Can we please open this now? — Isaac Kotlicky 3 mins ago
^ That is exactly what I was hoping the updated PTIJ policy would cause to happen
the result is a very good PT question that would otherwise have just sat there looking ugly

3:35 PM
@Daniel @IsaacMoses anyone -- the new PTIJ policy makes it sound like meta-ptij also need to be Torah-related whereas in fact they need to be MY/SE-related. We should update the policy before next year.

@msh210 Footnote 2

@IsaacMoses Oh, oops. Shoulda given you and the other contributors more credit.

@msh210 Amen, vechen lamar!

... and I never posted it, and I have no idea what it may have been.

2 HNQ for me in 2 days! That's a personal record!

Should these revisions be rolled back?

@Daniel I rolled back the one on my post (See comments there.)

@IsaacMoses I rolled the others back. I think it meets this edit rejection criterion: "This edit does not make the post even a little bit easier to read, easier to find, more accurate or more accessible. Changes are either completely superfluous or actively harm readability."

@Daniel Yes.
@LN6595, adding "PTIJ:" at the start of title was suggested and the community did not accept it. If someone wants to do it for questions he himself asks, more power to him, but please don't edit others' questions to include it. — msh210 ♦ 2 mins ago
@Daniel Thanks.

@msh210 Thanks for your moderation

nobody noticed my fun new avatar :(
oh because it didn't get applied
there we go! Much better. But for some reason it hasn't been applied in chat. Anybody know why?

@IsaacMoses I guess

@Daniel Oooh. Daring.

It's weird that it applied everywhere else, though

@Daniel, there's something different about you today.
If I may interrupt our Purim Torah briefly: the following answer has some flags and one delete vote. It strikes me as non-Jewish, but I'm not deeply familiar with all our sources on this (especially anything from mysticism). Anybody else care to weigh in?

A: Did The Snake In The Garden Of Eden Have Free Will

LorenAll of His creation has apparently been created with free will -- even angels. satan himself, as with all angels, was given free will. The scripture quotes his statement: Isa 14:13 "... I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne..." So, clearly he had a will. Regarding animals, you w...

For closing nonconforming PTIJ questions, use this: I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it does not meet the requirements of the [Purim Torah policy](http://meta.judaism.stackexchange.com/q/797) that it "**misinterpret** a real **Torah** concept or Jewish text or apply a distinctly **Torah** style (e.g. Talmudic analysis) to an **irrelevant** topic." Q: "Haggadah - Mi Yodeya?" v2.0 -- call for submissions

ScimonsterThis question will collect Q&As, formatted for the book, for Haggadah - Mi Yodeya? v2.0. Since there aren't that many questions getting added, we can do everything in this one question. Each answer here should cover one question and its answer(s), following this template. There is no need to co...

I just rep-capped entirely from Purim Torah. :-)
I rarely rep-cap here at all...

@Meta-Man I went ahead and posted this to let people get a head start on this, even if the deadline for suggestions isn't until Sunday.
> This is a joyous activity, and mishenichnas Adar marbim b'simcha, so i expect to see lots of work on it. :)

@Scimonster yes, sometimes it makes sense for phases to proceed in parallel. You could even be lenient about accepting late suggestions if people do the edits in time.

10:25 PM
@MonicaCellio BTW could i please be added as a room owner for the dedicated chatroom?

@Meta-Man this is for submission of additions only, right? How do you want to handle overhauls of existing questions? (For something that is already present and not being revised, I assume we can just start from the version already in Word.)

@MonicaCellio Same spot i suppose. Unless you think it would be better as a different post.

@Scimonster done.
@Scimonster you might want to clarify that in the meta post, lest somebody go round up all the meta posts from v1.0.
You could say "new or revised" or some such.

@MonicaCellio Done
@MonicaCellio Thanks

10:43 PM
@MonicaCellio The arch-angel question isn't Purim Torah

@Daniel I know. I was interrupting a PT discussion to talk about a non-PT question.
@Daniel oh! I see what you mean. I had missed that in the list even though it's right in front of me.
Never mind! I mostly rep-capped from PT but not entirely.
(I momentarily confused your "archangel" comment with my earlier mention of the snake question... time to go get more caffeine.)

11:20 PM
@MonicaCellio You still got over 200 rep from Purim Torah which (IIRC) still counts for the mortarboard badge even if you don't hit the rep cap (or at least I think that was the case when I earned the badge)

@Daniel for Mortarboard (or, in my case, my fifth day toward the 50 needed for the silver badge), you just need 200 rep. I actually got 215 because answer acceptances don't count toward the limit. So I did get more than 200 rep from PT today -- cool. :-)
I just saw the "Golden Calf Ale" question on the hot list.

11:52 PM
I suspect that many users tend to have rep spikes during PTIJ season. I certainly do
I wonder what that says about my contributions the rest of the year haha
