@msh210 Near the beginning of this past Monday's shiur R' Rakeffet mentioned that he's glad that Yom Ha'atzma'ut can no longer fall on a Monday. Back in the day, in the type of shuls he would go to (the type that observes both Y"H and BeH"aB), whenever Y"H fell on a Monday, it presented a problem: How can you say BeHa"B on Y"H? They would solve it by pushing BeHa"B off a week.
