Q: Cursor moves to next line in the bullets list or number list SP 2013

RamI have created a list of bullets in the content page, but have one issue. Once I goes to the end and press-Enter cursor goes to the next line with new bullet, but in a fraction of time cursor goes to the below one bullet or above one bullet, that is depends on the the bullet. If cursor on the las...

Hey @Ram, could you add more information, please? How are you generating the list of bullets? Any code samples that could help us? It's hard to wrap ones head around the problem without some kind of detailed description.

I am creating number bullets manually. Check this is the code snippet- <div> <ol> <li>Line 1<br/></li> <li>Line 2<br/></li> <li>Line 3<br/></li> <li> </li> <li>Line 4<br/></li> <li>Line 5<br/></li> </ol> </div>
Ok, so is that problem with editor you are using? Not sure if it's a programming or tooling issue judging from your update. Also why are you adding <br/> tag within the <li>?

I have not added those <br/>, While I am adding the bullets to list that time comes. So, How can I fix this issue?
How are you adding this to SharePoint? Is it in a web part on page? Are you doing that in Visual Studio?

No, I have created content page. And adding manually.
Is that SharePoint 2010 or 2013?

SP 2013
ok, I will get on to my test server and see if that occurs to me. You just edit the page as is or do you add HTML by hand?
Ram

I have not added html.
ok, so you just used ribbon to create bullet point list but when you look at page source it comes out like you described it? Let me see if that happens to me.

I have created it manually from the content editor Tool Bar.
Sure..
Ok, that is happening here as well, SharePoint does mangle the html behind a bit
lets see if I can find out any info about this and I can edit your question and add some additional information if you want
Ram

Sure..
Thanks for the digging for the issue.
ok, Im editing your question right now. Does this cause problems for you, the changes to HTML that happen, or are you just curious about this? just to clarify what you are asking for
Ram
Ram
OK.
No Problem.
So to clarify, when you add another bullet, the cursor jumps up to previous bullet point and the one you wanted to create dissappears, is that correct?

Yes,
But it would be depends upon the current position of cursor.
If cursor on the last bullet it will back to the position and cursor on the middle then it goes to the next bullet.
Ok, cursor is on last bullet point, you press enter and then it creates the bullet point below, then immediately goes one up. Does it leave the created bullet point?
Do you have any custom JavaScript on the page that you use to do anything with the page?
could you use screentogif.codeplex.com to record the behaviour, it's really hard to judge what is happening if I cant see how exactly it behaves. When you are done, you can edit your question and add the gif to animation showing what is happening :)
