I hope moderators will not be the only ones to post questions for the collection to be presented to the nominees, but at least we now have the eight necessary to mean we probably won't need the three backup questions offered by Grace in the announcement.
@PolyGeo in previous elections the moderators could (this option is now disabled) send top banner messages (for a set timeframe) to all users, this pointed more eyes on the meta page for the election info.
@Mapperz I was a nominee and not a mod for the last election in 2014 and am not sure that I remember seeing those banner messages. Perhaps they are only enabled when the election enters the Nomination Phase?

Currently, we only have 10 nominees in the Stack Overflow moderator elections.
Granted, it's only been a day, but given the size of Stack Overflow, the moderator election is something that everyone turns out for and we should have a much higher number of nominees for at this point in the nominat...
