Saying of ghci, I often fiddle with TIO Bash + ghci
Just that I can't silence the first and last line of output
and we can't separate expressions/statements from plain stdin...
 
I wish bash let you put a heredoc and output redirect one one line like this: tio.run/##qyrO@P/fxkbd1d9NXcGuOLkos6CEy6o4tUShoCg/…

@Bubbler Annoyingly, however, trimming the extra noise with head and tail produces broken pipe noise to stderr: tio.run/##qyrO@P8/…
(This is what peak command substitution looks like /s)
@Pavel Only sometimes though. It's not deterministic.
You have to run it a bunch of times and eventually the error just doesn't
 
Using interact or getContents gives "closed handle error" too
