@mudkip201 Done.

Thanks

12:15 AM
@Mego That worked, but cabal printed a bunch of scary warnings.
cabal: The following packages are likely to be broken by the reinstalls:
QuickCheck-2.9.2
EdisonCore-1.3.1.1
Agda-2.5.2
Use --force-reinstalls if you want to install anyway.
Not sure if that broke something, so I won't go live just yet.
What exactly am I looking at anyway? Looks like a 700 MB variant of ghci.
@MDXF Unfortunately, I don't have the required disk space atm. I'll have to upgrade the servers first.
The source code alone weighs 1.5 GiB.

@Dennis Thanks!

1:43 AM
@Dennis Would you like me to build it for the same architecture/OS as TIO and get you the executable(s) somehow?

1:58 AM
No need. I have to upgrade anyway.
But thanks anyway.

No problem; thank you for TIO!

2:37 AM
Linode informed me that the physical server TIO's main server resides on is scheduled to undergo maintenance to mitigate Meltdown & Spectre. Since I have no way to estimate how long that will take, I'll swap the IPs of the main server and one of the arena servers on Monday at 03:00 UTC. That requires a reboot, so there will be a minute or two of downtime.

@Pavel It’s a variant in the sense that it has a bunch of default imported modules, different from what Prelude imports

@Dennis See above. It’s really useful for golfing

Anonymous
@Dennis It’s probably fine

1:23 PM
I wish I had your optimism...
@Mego I'm down to 745 MiB of disk space, so I'm not sure Lambdabot will fit on the disk right now. I'll add extra volumes as soon as time permits.

@Dennis I'm almost ready to release Retina 1.0. The main thing that's left to do is to rewrite the docs. Can we talk about what to do with it on TIO? I've already created a specific revision of the docs you can point the old version to: github.com/m-ender/retina/wiki/The-Language/…

@MartinEnder I'd add the 1.0 release as a new language and rename the old one to Retina 0.8.2.

right, something like that sounds good. I suppose the new one would have to be #retina1 or something though so as not to break old permalinks?

3:10 PM
Yep.

alright, that's fine.
would you just call it "Retina" on the page and in markdown exports or "Retina 1.0"?

Retina 1.0 might be a bit too specific.
Retina 1 looks a bit odd though...

yeah, exactly
I have no plans for ever getting to Retina 2 though, so just "Retina" is probably best. the only issue is that it'll make it impossible to distinguish the new version from old ones on PPCG answers
(without following the TIO link)

That's what we did with Brachylog.

there you seem to have Brachylog and Brachylog v1?
or is "Brachylog" v2?

4:12 PM
@MartinEnder Yes, tio.run/#brachylog2 is called simply Brachylog.

ah right
yeah let's do that then
I'll let you know when the release is ready

Sounds good.

might not be today, but hopefully tomorrow
lots and lots of docs to write...
(provided I don't come across too many "oh it would be neat if it worked like this" situations while writing the docs...)

5:10 PM
@Dennis can you pull Pyt?

@mudkip201 Done.

dammit. just found a little bug :I

Should I pull again?

not yet
fixing it requires a little bit of rewriting

5:47 PM
You can pull it now, @Dennis

6:01 PM
@Dennis Hi, when you have time, can you please update the "Hello, World!" of Triangularity to this?

@Dennis could you pull Deorst when you get the chance, thanks!

6:45 PM
@mudkip201 Done.
@cairdcoinheringaahing Done.

@Dennis Thanks!

Thanks!

@Mr.Xcoder Done.

@Dennis Thanks!

@Dennis Too bad. Thanks anyway! Maybe once more disk space gets added?

8:08 PM
@Dennis I believe I've fixed Verbosity (for now). Can you pull please? However, if it doesn't work, this should.

9:01 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing Nope, not fixed.
In line 4:
    Exception:UnknownStructure thrown by:
        'Include<Integer>'

Excecution terminated

Neither of them?

No. Line 4 is identical in both versions anyway.

:/ Ok, that's annoying. Thanks for trying though

Also, line 4 is actually line 1?

Yeah, that's been an ongoing bug (less important that actually working though)
