@topomorto
Without an explanation as such, can you give me a yes or no answer to if just intonation interval ranking ratios of consonance/dissonance is applicable to 12tet music composition.. this will put me out of my misery with the back and forth
a yes or no answer is all i need

@DanHulme @DanHulme Hard to say. You might need to word it carefully. OTOH, what's the worst that could happen? IME good questions in this dubious territory have more focus on what the song or performance needs that known equipment isn't achieving. Does that make sense? Rather than just a list of features you need, tell a little story about what this magic gizmo can help you do.
Actually constructing a question to do all that, is more difficult. But I think this is the form to use when trying to skirt the QA rules but stay on this side of the line, you know?
I spent a few hours today introducing my new pedals to my old ones. I got my 4 chains figured out. At least what I plan to bring to the first rehearsal on Sat.
Chain 1: Bass -> OD -> Switch A -> Mixer ch.1 -> Volume -> Amp.
Chain 2: ... Switch B -> Rat Dist. -> Octave Up -> Mixer ch.2 ...
Chain 3: ... Switch C -> Switch A -> Env. Filter -> EQ -> Comp. Limiter -> Octo Puss -> Mixer ch.3 ...
Chain 4: ... Switch C -> Switch B -> Fuzz -> Para. EQ -> Mixer ch.4 ...
Damn, I shoulda tooka pic.
It's a total mess of cables flying all over the place. I need to order some different lengths. I learned my nice 3' cable with the super flat jacks are too wide to fit into the mixer except on the output. All the other jacks are too close together.
I have 5 on a power brick, and 4 on a daisy chain (2 are switches so really just 2 sharing).
And there wasn't any noticeable noise. Of course that'll change at the theatre, but I'll have more cables by then.
And it's true that the Octo Puss needs to be after a buffer. So I put it after the compressor. And it seems ... odd and unusual. Which seems great as a verbal description, but it doesn't really jump out and you and scream THIS IS AN AMAZING OCTAVE. OTOH that's kinda a good thing. The only pedal I want to "jump out" is the envelope.
Blending the 2 chains with both octaves on makes a really nice singing sustained tone.
So the trick now is learning how to tap it on and off at the right spots in the songs.
Blending the 2 chains with the rat and fuzz both on gives a nice savage rock tone, and I can blend those against the raw A chain to keep the boom and thump.
And only now do I realize, I left the envelope plugged in with a battery in it. :(

I think I need an EQ in the loop on the amp, too, so I can turn up the preamp. So I'll either steal the one from chain 3 or order a new one. Is there such a thing as a passive EQ pedal? I can't find the battery leads I ordered in my pigsty. I'd love to not need to run power to it.
Ha! Yes, there's a JHS Little Black Amp Box that does just what I want.

Somebody put me out of my misery ;) From an off-topic question on sound design, I recognise this logo but it's too small for google to help me out & my memory is totally failing me...

1 hour later…
@luserdroog I already know what the logo is, I'm trying to remember who it is
