@JesseWilliams Thanks for running this time around. I hope you will consider running again.

@Tonepoet "easy to reach in the chatroom" @MετάEd probably figures it's not even necessary for securing a win, as evidenced by the results of the primary. Unless second-round voting turns out very differently, MετάEd and tchrist will be the newly elected mods.

@WBT I think Sumelic stands a very good chance too actually.
More importantly the second-round results will probably depend upon how many people come back on the second round.
We're already in the final round. This is it. Or have I misunderstood the last two or three posts?
@AndrewLeach Well I wrote my last message 19 hours ago. It's more of an expression of surprise that half of the candidates declined to do it.
Well, not my "last" message but the message when I asked. Regardless, I'm not really saying they have to do it to win, but if they think they can they should've done something to show respect for the process since it's perceptible as their first duty to already be shirking-off. =P
Thanks. I misunderstood "how many come back on the second round". You mean "how many candidates (not voters) return to complete the questionnaire for second-round preferences" -- although since voting has started, second-round preferences can't be changed, I think.
16:44
@AndrewLeach Oh no, I mean how many voters. The people who upticked in the primaries haven't necessarily cast their final votes and might not fully understand the electoral process. This is something I mentioned much earlier on. If we don't have the same pool of voters, we can't absolutely assume the primaries are indicative of the final vote.
Consider it like this: If twelve people pledge to vote for you and eleven of them forget, and only one person pledged to vote for your rival, then you should be tied regardless. =P
16:59
Basically @AndrewLeach We were talking about the prior elimination round, not the current round of voting.
Sorry, food intervened. Yes. I see. I'll crawl back under my stone. :-)
@AndrewLeach Before you do, I think I still can change my votes until the election is over. I remember seeing a notice like that.
And the buttons aren't greyed out.
Oh yes. That's so.
You can state your preferences as many times as you like until you're happy or the deadline chimes.
Right.
Well, I'll leave you unmolested if you want to go back under your stone now. I hope that clarified everything you wanted to know. Good-by Andrew.

@AndrewLeach (response, not necessarily directed at Andrew) In case anyone else gets confused, second round = final round. Also, to re-confirm, votes already cast in this round can be changed until the election's over.

@GraceNote Just a minor thing I noticed: on the election page, side bar, the link at the words ballot file talks about multiple lines, but the example (4 2 -3 ...) shows up as only one line. The format is still comprehensible, and maybe other browsers show multiple lines. I also understand that this page may not be under SE's control. Anyway, just FYI.
