hey, i'm having some trouble understanding elisp. i found this line in a function definition:

(interactive (list (read-char "char: " t)
current-prefix-arg))
if the character read is a 13, i want to replace it by a 10. for all characters, it should be passed just like before. how can i do this?
this is what i tried (unsuccessfully, ovs):
(interactive (list ((setq headChar (read-char "char: " t)) (if (eq headChar 13) (setq headChar 10) () (headChar))) current-prefix-arg))
