Hi guys! There's this ad on TeX.SX for some time now: "Upcoming Events: Answer the Unanswered". Which the link points to this chat, I can guess what the event is all about but how does it differ from the usual days? Sorry if it's a silly question :P
@GuilhermeZ.Santos On the first Saturday of a month we devote an evening to check for unanswered questions, doing clean up of not answerable ones. This chat becomes the main place for discussing about the various cases.
@GuilhermeZ.Santos Everybody can help and is welcome!
@GuilhermeZ.Santos With your current reputation, you can cast closing votes. In case you find a candidate for closure (usually as “unclear”) during the session, you also mention it in the chat. After the session, the moderators will have a list of questions to look upon.
@egreg nice, I'm always checking the number of answered questions doesn't go much below 9k (as long as I've watched it). I'll see on sunday how many there are ^.^
i've seen a number of questions here about bidi and rtl coding. a message to texhax last week requested testing and feedback for the cals package when used with bidi. cals "provides multipage tables with straddling and decorations. The development version natively supports right-to-left environment." if there's someone here who could do this, seems it would be useful. check the texhax list archive at tug.org.
@PauloCereda In the picture you can see, from right to left: (a) my office key ring, (b) the Linear Algebra book, (c) the iPad, (d) the electronic pen. And the main item in front, of course!
@PauloCereda I write directly on it and the text appears on the screen. No fixed slide. But I can switch to another app; for instance, when I talked about l'Hôpital I showed this picture of the “Paris gun”
@PauloCereda I could have played the “sledgehammer concerto” in the background.
