I just found the dumbest editor in the world! And guess what, it's GitBook's editor!
It is too dumb to connect with any worker in the world.

Pushed proposed table of contents to prod. o_o

The book now has a mirror on GitHub! :D
so... um you asked about the origin of Duga in the 2nd?
@Vogel612 Yeah.
If you want, you may also join the writing of the book.
she started out as the GithubWebhookSEChatBot
IIRC skiwi was looking for a project to tackle with spring
@Vogel612 GithubHookSEChatBot
oh you found that out already?
yea it was getting funnier. Duga started to post into the 2nd monitor, The Cardshifter room and then soon into VBA Rubberducking
that was shortly after there had been some interest in creating a chatbot (because the 2nd seemed somewhat dull at the time)

Q: Blue Cheese Monster feature requests

Vogel612Malachi and I, we broke our heads on how we can disambiguate the Blue Cheese Monster, especially in respect to the Tool vs. Toy question raised by rolfl. So here goes: What features does this tool need to be useful to the community? Please post feature requests below. It would be nice if you ...

r0bot and the Blue Cheese Monster

What was next? :3
well Simon took over the project
that was December 2014
so about half a year after the Blue Cheese Monster reared it's head for a bit
note: "shortly after" means 5 months
the bots were a thing in may 2014, Duga started in August 2014
Then Simon added repository statistics
"15 commits today"
just a small database keeping track of all the hook payloads Duga handled
Then Simon started experimenting with the SE API
so that was when duga started to check SO comments
And when was RELOAD! implemented?
that seems to have been in since the start
^^ Duga's first reload in the 2nd
also it seems I have the SE API and Repo stats backwards...

then Duga was in use for a while and one day Thomas Owens, a mod over at Programmers was invited to the 2nd for a discussion
He saw Duga and asked whether Programmers could have their own, too
What's next? :D
that's about it already.
Programmers got added into the comment classifications, Software-Recommendations followed shortly after and that basically was the whole story
If you want, you can join the writing of the book.

I'm not one for writing books
too much work
I'm barely getting finished on a few KLoC
I see, based on the book being a non-technical story.
