Q: Two characters with the most synergy

PantsI often play Overwatch with a friend of mine. Normally we just pick random heroes that our team may need or heroes we like playing. We are starting to play a bit more and getting better so we are starting to work more on teamwork, and we are starting to think more critically about our character s...

I don't think this is necessarily a bad question, although in it's current state it is very opinion based. Perhaps editing the question to "which hero pairs are the most deadly/do the most damage together?" would help?
@Kaizerwolf I had tired to narrow it down to taking out multiple enemies because that was my main goal in asking the question (not great pre-edit) and because it wouldn't require big changes to the answer already posted. Could you maybe clarify what you mean by "most deadly"? I think that lines up closely to what I am looking for.
Most deadly probably wasn't the best wording. The better thing to look at I think is "deals the most damage together", maybe in terms of combinations of Ultimate abilities, passives, etc.
@Kaizerwolf Alright. I think I see what you are saying. In that case, I think my interest is "deals most damage with standard attacks/abilities, bonus points for ultimate synergy" but that would require some changes to your answer, I think. It may be best to delete and re-ask? Though, I don't want you to lose the rep from your answer...
@Yawus what do you both think? I'm not sure at this point.

@Kaizerwolf I'm gonna try an edit to see what you think and if it too much of a change, I'll roll it back.
@Kaizerwolf I feel like this question is a bit further from the original question to be an edit. Maybe I should just roll this question back so it will be closed and ask this as a new question
Probably a good idea.
Most damage combo is a bit of weird question to ask though since the answer is usually any sort of high damage ult plus another high damage ult. The problem being that that combo most likely wouldn't connect with some form of crowd control.
I was more thinking about having specific heroes in mind and asking something like "What heroes work well with Zarya?"
Yeah, I meant to say DPS with standard attacks/abilities. Is that better?
Again, that devolves down to the two characters who do the highest damage.
Which is essentially Bastion + Bastion. Or Bastion plus one of the Offense heroes. And in my mind, those don't really synergize. I guess it's an acceptable question, just not in the spirit of your original one.
Highest DPS combo is an acceptable question in my mind, but I don't think it solves your problem.
Which is essentially "pick two heroes that work well together".
The best thing to do at this point may be to just ask a new question?
I see what your saying. I don't know if we want to open the door to 21 questions of "Who goes well with this hero?" though
@Kaizerwolf Yeah, I rolled back and am gonna let it close. I am thinking about how to ask what I am trying to ask.

Well, you can avoid one character question, as Mercy goes well with everyone ;)
This is making me wonder, what is a community wiki for?
There's no reason to post an answer as a community wiki.
It's more that an answer becomes community wiki at some point, given certain conditions.
The point of community wiki is that you lower the bar to edit the post in the hopes that up-to-date information will be added as it comes out.
Ah. Again, worrying about opening the door to 21 very similar questions, would something like that eventually become a community wiki? Like they all got merged?
Well, if you're concerned about "opening the door", post something up on Meta.
Good idea. Thank you for all of your help with this. Arqade can be a tricky horse sometimes. You too @Kaizerwolf

If anyone would like to take a look at the meta post, here it is : meta.gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/11725/…
After more poking around and some of the thoughts others posted there, I am thinking that I agree with you, @Yuuki
