@steelersquirrel I know the answer to your new question, but I'm at work and someone else will probably answer soonish
But... the answer is in your quote. They starved Lucian and then threw him some tasty humans. I think it was during a full moon. He turned them by biting them.
@amaranth I thought that he fed off of the slaves...and they died before they turned. Well...that makes more sense. Just post a comment really quick and then come and answer it later :)
meh :p
I guess that I was confused with the word "breed"
terminology for turning is awkward
Oh, great. I'm going to get smart ass comments and answers now :(
00:56
what :-o
I mean it's tricky coming up with a whole parallel set of terms for sire/progeny as opposed to parent/child
Just because it seems so obvious now that you told me that ;)
poor squirrel
for the record, very few people were known to be born immortal: Marcus, William, David, Eve, Lucian, and Sonja
most/all others were born human, and turned later
Also...were Viktor and Alexander Corvinus both Hungarian war lords in the 5th century?
00:59
apparently, for some sort of definition of "Hungarian"
Viktor's age was always unclear to me, but in Blood Wars, it's revealed that an offshoot coven was founded in the 6th century, so Viktor has to be older than that
Is there any evidence that they knew eachother?
what a thought :-o
they surely knew about each other after Viktor was turned, but I don't know otherwise
This is a new question!!! Yay!!
I think Viktor was somewhere near Alexander's sons' age
so, contemporaries
I think that I am going to delete the one that I just posted and ask something like that instead.
01:02
poor squirrel
Okay. I gotta work on this question...Talk to you later! I will be at work all night. I will pop in after I have this question done :)
k :D

@amaranth Okay. Another question posted. I'm giving your wiki site some love by using it as my source info :)
Let's see how long it takes Eve this time...
100 years :p
Hey!! I just noticed! Eve is a Steelers fan!! Haha! Yes!
\o/
it's possibly relevant that "Hungarian" doesn't have a clear meaning for the 5th century
05:11
I wonder if Napoleon did that...
it wasn't me
@amaranth We shall see. cde gave a great answer to my other question. I guess we will see what answers I get :)
they were either proto-magyars, presumably living near the south end of the Ural Mountains at the time, or more likely in my mind, they were natives of the Carpathian mountains, identifying as Hungarians later, after the Kingdom of Hungary was founded. Blend in with the locals, you know
I think the Alexander Corvinus page says the opposite of that... and I wrote that part :-|
Then answer it!!!! :P
that doesn't say whether they knew each other :p
I would want to know whether the average warlord living on the fringes of the Roman empire knew the other warlords personally at that time :D
05:15
I just noticed that they were both "Hungarian warlords" so, if anyone knows anything deeper than that, that would be awesome!
@amaranth Well, it's curious how Marcus would know to approach Viktor for help...like, did his father suggest that?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Dun dun dunnnnn...
My next question is going to be about Amelia
oh really :-o
05:20
Either that or the guy that Sonja was supposed to marry...Marcus son, wasn't it?
Lucian?
oh that guy
Nicolae. he isn't canon
I don't know much about him
Yeah...was Marcus married? Who is his mother?...Amelia, maybe :P
Marcus's mother was Helena Corvinus. There is no mention of a wife or children for Marcus in canon.
No...Nicolae's mother. I'm thinking in my mind that I want it to be Amelia, you know because incest :P
oh :p
05:25
Hehe!
well, Selene is Michael's sire, so Selene is both Eve's mom and her grandsire :p
OMG! Good point!
Oh! My other question was about the moon collar...was Lucian wearing one when he watched Sonja die?
we should have screenshots of that
I looked on your wiki page, but his hair is in the way :(
oh :-o
to properly treat that question, I suppose we'd have to check the scenes in Underworld and Rise of the Lycans
05:28
I just wanted to know how the lycans are able to control their changing without it now.
to see if his collar was the same both times
with practise
I will do more research when I get to work.
what better thing to do at work \o/
I am not sure if the moon was full the night that Lucian rescued Sonja
but the collars were to prevent transformations entirely. Even if the Lycans could control their transformations, the vampires didn't trust them that much
05:31
Well, in rise of the lycans, it shows the full moon come through the roof. So, I just assumed that Lucian's anger surpassed the power of the collar.
OH
ummmmmmmmm I think he wasn't wearing a collar at the time. He had previously been shot with silver-tipped crossbow bolts, and they were still in his skin
that was the night that he learned how to expel projectiles from his body by force of will!!!
Argh! I gotta go get ready for work. Be back later :)
bye :)

You sci-fi people all up in here saying that you don't get good answers over at M&TV...I beg to differ! :P

Q: Were Viktor and Alexander Corvinus acquaintances before they became immortal?

steelersquirrelBoth Alexander Corvinus and Viktor were 5th century Hungarian warlords before they became immortal. Alexander became the first immortal by surviving a plague, discovering that he possessed a rare genetic mutation, allowing him to be immune to any disease. Viktor was turned into a vampire by Ale...

Great answer ^^
it would be if he were right
<gasp> What's wrong about it?
still thinking about it, but it puts Viktor too young in light of Blood Wars
See...and I am just not familiar enough with Blood Wars to judge it that. I have only seen it once.
they gave the age of one of the covens. I forget which one
it was realllly old
07:18
Well, you can go and make a comment and question him about it...
oh, he's off on that point, but it doesn't change the answer
at best, Viktor was a kid when Alexander was a mortal warlord
that's if we assume that Alexander stopped ageing as soon as he became immortal, which is a good assumption
wait again...
yeah, Viktor is at least several decades younger than Alexander
So...his answer is correct, then?
essentially
Well...cool, then! Woot!
they were probably mortal at the same time, briefly
07:32
Cool. It would be awesome if they would make a prequel about them before they were immortals. I would have liked to see that rather than the pos that was rise of the lycans ;)
lil baby Viktor, bossing around the village children?
Hehe! Maybe a back story on Viktor on how he became such a ruthless dick ;)
he's a survivor! :p
his steps 7 and 8 seem off somehow
Sweet!!! He's a member of an 80's rock group!!
07:38
Viktor must be the one with the mullet...wait. They all have mullets ;)
@amaranth Oh, I see....because Viktor had to be turned almost immediately since he was dying. I gotcha!
yeah, he can't be turned after death. I don't know where he was going with that
I agree with his conclusion, but I'm not sure about every step and every number
Right. I see what you're saying now.
actually, if he just took out step 8, it would be pretty good, unless I'm missing something
or merged steps 7 and 8 or something
the wiki says that the Eastern Coven was founded in the 6th century, so Viktor had to be turned by then
07:44
Riiiiiiiiight!!!!! See...this is why you're a moderator on the wiki site!! :)
I'm a moderator because I bugged one of the other moderators about editing the CSS, and he told me to do it myself :p
anyway, according to my notes, the Eastern Coven was 15 centuries old at the time of Blood Wars, which is early to mid 21st century. So that makes the Eastern Coven founded around... the 6th century. yes.
Viktor has to be immortal by the late 6th century at least
Well, I love that wiki site now that I have been around it more often these past few weeks :)

Q: Why is Marcus Corvinus hybrid nature different from Michael Corvin?

Ankit SharmaBoth Marcus Corvinus and Michael Corvin belong to Alexander Corvinus's bloodline and both later become Vampire/Lycan hybrid. Why does Marcus Corvinus's hybrid nature more of a vampire and does not show any visual Lycan part, but Michael almost shows both properties of his hybrid nature? So, why ...

@amaranth Eve being a Steeler fan seems to be a mystery. Napoleon said that he didn't do it. The plot thickens. Dun dun dunnnnnnn...

my candle got an upgrade, but it hasn't propagated to chat yet
Oh, nice!!!!
:D
oh, now I made it work
reload if I still look like a candle :p
You totally look like a big huge bon fire now!!!!
Is that what you're supposed to look like?

My squirrel looks so awesome with sunglasses and that hat! I had Himarm make a screen cap or whatever it's called after I got this hat. It was super hard to get. Only 17 people were awarded this hat!!!! I ROCK!!! :P

Hehehe! Sorry. That's all I can think about when I say that "I rock" :P
