Here's a 2D histogram of answer score vs answer length, obtained using @Suever's script
The data is from all 802 current MATL answers.
The correlation coefficient turns out to be -0.017. I was expecting more correlation (negative, larger in absolute value).
The graph left out a few answers with extreme values. For example, the answer with highest score has 72 and is outside of the graph. The second-highest has score 30
