@Aegon and Cogs, don't forget Cogs. (Bryan Cogman is the adaptation writer, he's the main reason the story is so messed).
@Skooba I have a strange feeling that GRRM has cut them off. It's strongly believed that he has lost faith in the show and isn't very happy with it. He's even alluded to his feelings of the show being nothing but Fanfic.
It would make sense that since S4, the show has done nothing by base on sample chapters and shock value theories.

@Mooz I thought GRRM told them the main points of the plot he had in mind? You know just in case he dies before writing the next books. But oh well back then he thought he would have WoW out before Show hits ADWD.
@Mooz Yeah lol I do have twitter but I am not really active there.

By the way did you guys read the WoW preview chapters?
I might be just sick in the head but after reading Aeron's chapter, I am under the impression that Euron used to sexually abuse Aeron when Aeron was a child. Which explains his hatred against Euron.

@Aegon I wonder if he is delaying WoW now just so he doesnt have to compete with the show... and the books will still have suspense due to the drastic changes the show made
@Aegon Wouldn't surprise me. Wasn't it implied that Robert physically abused Joffrey too. Cersei had infants executed. Ramsay Bolton is pure horror. Viserys was creep to the max. Walder Frey just keeps upgrading to the next model. Craster marries his daughters and has his sons turned into White Walkers....
13:10
@Skooba Maybe but that seems unlikely. If he could have written the book, he would have. He was just too busy at social events I don't see how would he find time to write the books
@Skooba Yeah it's kinda very heavily implied. I won't spoil the preview chapter for you
@Aegon yeah its just the show started off so good and now they are rushing it... to me when a show's pacing changes dramatically it is a sign of a problem. I think you are right that GRRM lost faith in the show or the writers.
Do you think Prince Doran gets whacked in the books? because he seems like a much stronger character there... i mean we know the show ruined the whole Dorne plot
@Skooba Unless Arianne's mission fails, I don't see Doran falling
His hold is not firm
But as long as he stays in Dorne and keeps his head down until Dany comes, he may yet survive it
What do you think?
Oh show basically made a pig's ear out of the whole plot. Bet D&D were regretting their decision to kill Doran when they had to made Ellaria say "Vengeance, Justice, Fire and Blood"
I think he makes it. because in the books he does want vengeance, but he is willing to play the long game.
as long as he doesnt back Fake Aegon, he should be okay. Dany might be upset with him if he backs a false Targaryen.
Which, do you think Aegon is a Blackfyre or Bittersteel or whatever
Blackfyre
Added the arguments to an answer too scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/115364/…
He can't be a bittersteel. We don't know any of Bittersteel's kids do we?
13:25
@Aegon I just get lost in all the names. Bittersteel was a bastard house of the Targaryens tho right?
Epithet given to Aegor Rivers
A legitimized bastard of Aegon IV and Lady Bracken
Kinda not sure which bracken
Barba or Betheny
My whole line of thinking was that if Varys could smuggle one child out, why did he allow the girl and some other random child have theri head smashed in by the mountain.
The thing that did for me was "How did Varys know that fake child would be killed in a way that his corpse would not be able to be facially identified?"
He had no way of knowing that
Or smuggling anyone out
Else he would have left himself. He had no way of knowing if Robert would pardon him or not.
Who smuggled Dany and Visy?
Ser Willem Darry
Master at arms of Red Keep
But Dany And visy were already sent to dragonstone
By Aerys
After Trident
13:28
yeah i knew they werent in KL
From Dragonstone they were smuggled by Darry. It was different. KL had enemies at gates. DS was not yet besieged
Right. and obv. Robert knew they escaped.
And my man Stanny gets the blame for it
Whew. Things are going wild at Stackoverflow thanks to Documentation launch
Low Rep people are going crazy to mine as much rep as they can
haha. yeah not being a programmer that means nothing to me
reading your answer.... this quote is heavy, Glowing like sunset, a red sword was raised in the hand of a blue-eyed king who cast no shadow. A cloth dragon swayed on poles amidst a cheering crowd.
red sword and blue eyes
does azor ahai become a white walker
Nah
That's a reference to Stannis I believe
And his magical sword
13:50
But stannis didnt have a real magic sword did he?
and the whole "no shadow" implies white walker too
i really have to read the books again
I feel like i just read them, but its been 5 years!
Whoa you are a far older Fan of ASOIAF than me. I read them before start of season 4.
Stannis did have a "Magic sword" though it only had glamour, not real magic
No shadow thing is may be a reference to his shadow babies.
But I don't think we know that Whitewalkers don't cast shadows
Yeah, I read the books right before season 1 aired.
I just have bad comprehension. so i never pick up the subtleties
