BBedit has so many menu items and new shortcuts to get used to
@anki I'm sure there are some. But we already have a rather broad "Text Editor Alternatives" question with tons of answers on the site, don't see much benefit in listing all of them in the question about line numbers in TextEdit.
@nohillside hmm, makes sense. I do hate that such a small things is missing from Text editor. It has become a copy of Notes app now.

We can all gather around the warmth of emacs/vi/nano discussions and bask in the glow of the embers. Then stoke them as needed with GUI vs text and if it gets really cold, we can add fuel by debating the graphical editor options.

Q: Date and Time only partially visible in Big Sur

Akshar Patel As you can see in the image above, the date and time are dimmer than normal. How do I fix this?
