@balancedmama I've reviewed the question and I have this hypothesis: it was probably not closed because it received 2 useful answers within an hour, and the top answer is truly good.

Taking a concrete position IS taking some getting used to :-)
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Yes, but you are an active part of the community and the site is supposed to be run by the community so you can't shut up completely!! :-)
You can however, turn off chat when you go to bed.

Generally, I think I tend to look at medical questions from the perspective of: if the OP is seeking an alternative to going to the doctor, it should be closed. But if they're seeking guidance as to how to know when to see a doctor, or what they can do to avoid issues that would require a trip to the doctor, then it is probably okay... unless it turns out not to be okay :)
The "hard stools" question is kind of borderline, imo.
It seems to me that if the words "to reduce constipation" were removed from the sentence "How much water should be given to the baby to reduce constipation?", it would be answerable.
There are probably guidelines available for how much water a 6 month old should or should not be given
and in fact, I think woliveirajr's answer does a good job of that.
I agree with Torben on this: wait and see how things develop seems reasonable.
Also... we've had flags that sat around for a week or more, and which were seen by multiple members of the SE team. No one has complained about the response times yet :)

"do a little campaign to get people to vote more" - I wanted to log into meta to post about this but the login doesn't work. Not sure if it's my machine or what: I can consistently log into SE sites but none of the metas. Weird.

It's impressive how obvious it is when one of our questions gets tweeted or linked as a "Hot Question" on the SE platform :)
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Did you get this resolved, or is it still a problem?
This sounds vaguely familiar... didn't you have a problem with this before? Or perhaps it was chat...?

@Beofett works from home, not from the office. I want to try a reboot at work and see if that helps.
Doesn't strike me as familiar. But I've got plenty of poor network at home (that's why I'm chatting now and not watching that nice movie anymore - I gave up for tonight, dealing with the damn rebooting router/modem)
@Beofett wow! 800 views in 6 hours - that's awesome!

8:43 PM
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun it's been about 100 views in the past half hour alone.
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun I just had the second sound card die (after the on-board sound that shipped with my mobo died) on my media PC, so I'm pretty much without my primary source of TV (not that I watch that much).
Still, I was just starting to get back into Farscape...
If rebooting doesn't help, try flushing your browser cache
iirc, that sometimes helps with issues related to Open ID

@Beofett thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. Now: bedtime, woo-hoo :-)

g'night!

@Beofett Yes, but our three answers made it hot!

Q: New login & signup pathway for the Stack Exchange network

Jeremy TunnellWe will be rolling out a new, fully re-factored and redesigned login & signup pathway on Meta tomorrow morning, just missing Marc's estimate of 6-8 weeks back in October. As many of you are aware, our current design has been around for years. To keep everything secure, we had to use iframes a...

@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun Wonder if you got bit by this.
