@mpboden I have converted these links to a comment beneath the question...
@BeastOfCaerbannog That's a good idea. I'll keep that in mind. Now ironically, I made the edit with my phone while enjoying my morning coffee.
@andrew.46 Thanks!
@mpboden That was an easy one :)

@mpboden This question was about Kali and was rightly closed. However, your edit removed the "Kali" mention. I understand that you removed the mention in good intention to make the question on-topic, but this is actually not good (I'm guilty of doing the same in the past). The problem with such edits is that removing the mention of an unsupported distro makes it harder to close the question, since the off-topicness cannot be easily observed.
Thankfully, you hadn't changed the tag, so users could still see the off-topic distro.
In such cases, where a question is about an off-topic distro, I follow this approach: If the question is useful, seems answerable, and is supported by another SE site (such as U&L), I edit it (if it needs editing), add a comment suggesting to the OP to ask the question to the site that supports it, and vote to close the question.
If, however, the question is about Kali, then I do nothing and just downvote and vote to close it because no one wants Kali questions! (If someone uses Kali and seeks for help in AU, shouldn't use Kali in the first place)
@BeastOfCaerbannog Here was me trying to make a Linux Mint question on-topic: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/57985795#57985795
@BeastOfCaerbannog And here is terdon's stance on Kali: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/201?m=65325017#65325017

@BeastOfCaerbannog Actually, it looks like the OP removed Kali. By the time I edited it, I didn't know that and I removed "Linux". I'll try to keep all this in mind and look at past history. Thanks for heads up
For the record, I wouldn't remove Kali unless it was a blatant mistake. But that's generally never the case when someone mentions Kali.
@mpboden Oh! You're right! Sorry!
Either way, my messages above weren't targeted against you actually. I posted them as general advice, given the opportunity of what I mistakenly thought was your edit
