Q: How do I dual boot Chrome OS on Ubuntu 20.04 as Ubuntu being the sole OS installed?

Alex CastleI am trying to figure out a way to install Chrome OS on Ubuntu, all the videos require Windows, I dont have Windows but I do have it on Virtual box (windows 11) but im not sure if that works

This question is breaking SE rules (see comments), So what type of flag should I raise ?
BTW I have already raised in need of moderation flag and @ThomasWard reviewed it ! (Basically he copied the content of my flag and comment 😅)

Someone asked a question that Ubuntu got affected by a ransomware due to SMB protocol. While it is not clear whether it is Ubuntu or a Windows system in a dual boot, it would be a very serious issue if it is Ubuntu. askubuntu.com/questions/1376755/…

Vote to Leave Open (not unclear)
@ArchismanPanigrahi I carefully edited the question to make it more clear. The hacked computer is an Ubuntu computer, therefore this important question is on topic.

@karel Done and review completed.
@karel It got closed as not about Ubuntu. Voted to reopen. cc @ArchismanPanigrahi

@ArchismanPanigrahi hmm I'm not a security person at all. Have heard that SMB can be a security risk

I voted to reopen. However, according to the comments, Windows had write access to partitions in the Ubuntu computer. Most likely the ransomware simply "edited" the files from within Windows. In that case, there is nothing Ubuntu could do to prevent that.

yeah
except not give such access in the first place
