@Kulfy Agreed, since they didn't give any information to indicate that it is not feasible to do it on Ubuntu or to explain why it is better not to do it with Ubuntu. If they had, then it could stay open and also their answer (if it contained that information) would probably be considered perfectly good.
Even as it is, I really disagree with the deletion of their answer, which based on the wording of the comment, seems like it may have been done without awareness that it was the OP's self-answer. After all, they did actually solve the problem, to their own needs. It's not really "not an answer" so much as what it said, combined with the absence of details that would help other Ubuntu users, makes the question no repro.
The question might attract answers that say how to fix that problem with Ubuntu, but I don't think the problem is nearly well enough specified in that question for this to be likely. It would be better for a new question to be posted.
@Kulfy I've voted to undelete it. Two more undelete votes needed. Is there a reason the deleted question that it linked to should not also be undeleted?

@EliahKagan Yes. It qualifies for unclear (if not no-repro) since they didn't respond to Liso's comment explaining how they actually installed that. Moreover, 4 out of 5 tags added seems inappropriate.
If they have had explained why the software didn't work on Ubuntu, for example, a bug or something like that, it would have been acceptable answer IMO.
@EliahKagan Is their any evidence that Ark extarcts incompletely? I'm not sure if the issue was really with the unpacking.

dupe "adding to favourites" is equivalent to "pinning to the dock"
dupe; also opinion based (asks for hardware recommendation too)
deletable; not useful for this question (the question specifically mentions "Add to favourites" doesn't appear for the specific app)
^ Installing Dash to Dock wouldn't magically fix it either

@Kulfy I think it should be (it's already closed btw).
I would even go as far as to say we should delete this question despite the fact that it has got many upvotes and so do the answers.
The reason is this technical issue (from Skype's side) occurred for a very short time; the comment mentioning it's working fine again was posted within just 20 hours of the publication of the question itself. This kind of server-side issue happens every now and then.
Thoughts?
(unrelated to above) dupe; even though OP didn't accept the answer, they left a thank-you comment which suggests that it's a dupe

6:56 PM
@pomsky Yeah the issue was indeed for very short period of time and is unlikely to be helpful in future. I think posting on Ask Ubuntu Meta about the issue is better since more community members can share their thoughts on that.
(unrelated to above) I observed K7AAY is leaving comments like this on almost every post.
To start with, which Linux distro have you installed (Ubuntu server, Ubuntu desktop, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, Mint, et al.), & which release number? Different releases have different tools for us to recommend. Please click edit & add that to your question, so all facts we need are in the question. Please don't use Add Comment, since that's our one-way channel to you. All facts about your PC should go in the Question with edit as this is a Q&A site, not a general forum, so things work differently here. — K7AAY yesterday
Are these type of comments really necessary even when OP have solved the issue?
I don't think users really reply after they get an answer. In such scenarios these comments usually work as merely as noise (IMO).
At least in this case, it was unnecessary since OP have already provided those things.

seems deletable. It looks like a join of maco's answer and Oli's answer and doesn't add anything new.
This too Essentially a modified version of toe's answer

@Natty I edited that answer to improve its formatting when I first saw it, but I'm now noticing that it's extremely similar to this older answer, suggesting that it may be intended as a success report about that answer rather than as a separate answer.
@Kulfy I've flagged that one as no longer needed.
I'm not sure about the more general issue, but I think there's a different problem with that comment--at least as it is worded. It claims that comments on a question are "our one-way channel to" the OP. This is false, and the Stack Exchange system is deliberately designed so that users can always post comments on their own questions. For example, OPs should absolutely use comments to request clarification on comments to their questions.

NAA, the question is about how to get the python command to work. Well, maybe not. That was my interpretation of the question but this is perhaps not so clear-cut as I thought. I've retracted my flag.
