no longer needed - it's not a "video answer"
Also, can that answer be edited to improve it? The edit seems to have made it worse.
The LQP review item is askubuntu.com/review/low-quality-posts/990663 in case that's helpful.

@EliahKagan I've edited, but I feel a clearer example is needed there

Thanks.

@EliahKagan haha misleading formatting. I feel sorry for the post author. Super confusing comment

The comment also makes an ambiguous claim about a site policy and gives a reason for the policy that's somewhere on the continuum between being just a guess and being completely made up.
Like, most external sites are searchable. We still consider answers that consist of just links to external sites to be NAA.

Yeah

How would this help?

3:34 AM
I can't imagine that it could:/

TIL moderators can feature messages in any chat room, even if not listed as one of the room's owners.
(As when Byte Commander helpfully refeatured the links message earlier today.)
It makes sense, I just hadn't realized it.

Is this question a dupe of something?

@EliahKagan downvoted and VTD

The comments on this question are not very useful. What specific information should we request? Alternatively, is the a general question that it can reasonably be duped to?
I'm inclined to think we should leave this question open, in that there are just a few major ways to do this, and all can be summarized briefly in a way that is useful and informative. (The most powerful way hasn't had an answer about it yet.) However, if it is to be closed, I suggest closing it as too broad, since it very well may qualify for that.

This answer, except the last line, appears copied from the previously posted currently top-voted answer, without attribution. I don't think that answer should be deleted, but I do think it should be edited to give attribution. I'm not sure the best way, though -- should it blockquote most of the answer? Summarize the parts that are the same?
(Anyone who has a good idea of how to edit it should feel free to go ahead and do so, I think.)

@EliahKagan I'm guilty of initiating the reopening of that question that happened yesterday so I am glad it got left open through the close review!
Also guilty of initially helping to close it (I now think) wrongly
I doubt I'll be able to find all the questions I've wrongly voted to close :(

@EliahKagan I flagged the comments on the question since if OP had not said how they did the installation we'd probably be asking them for that information:/

I've flagged all three as no longer needed.

The OP's comments on the answer indicate further progress but I'm not sure how to integrate it into the question
There are surely some questions about similar installation issues on Asus ROG but idk exactly what they need now, maybe just this one

no improvement whatsoever, the command shown in that answer still works fine.

10:40 AM
unclear (even when translated), probably VLQ closed
It's likely off-topic as well, though I can't be sure because there's hardly any information in the question.

unclear, no response from OP
POB, or is there a generic dupe for this one?
Is this one clear (i.e. answerable as it currently stands)?

@pomsky not sure if there's a dupe but I'd prefer not to close it
@pomsky I don't think so... I voted to close
also not sure what the formatting was supposed to look like

@Kulfy why would it be?

I believe reinstallation is the only solution and replicating the permissions of files and folders in /usr is too broad.

I don't think difficult to fix=too broad

@pomsky I don't think that's POB, but I do think it's unclear. I think if the OP gives more details about the features they need, then it will be reopenable. I've commented.

This question could use an answer. Really I should write it, but I'd have to look for references to support (and lead to further reading about) what I'm saying about the particular errors I think indicated it was a hardware problem. If someone else were to post an answer before I get to it, that would be great for me, because I don't know when I'll get to it.
The sudo/$HOME Q&A is more of a priority for me; I had meant to have that done last month. But if it stays unanswered for several days and someone feels like pinging to remind me that I should answer it, I'll try and get around to it.
I think this question is too broad or POB. Consider the current answer, which is an attempt to answer the question that was asked and is probably not deletable, but that doesn't really give any specific information.

Do we have something for this? I'd rather close it as a duplicate of something that gives information along the lines of the suggestions in the comments, than as unclear.
(Or at least propose a duplicate the OP and others can use, even if "unclear" is still the displayed close reason.)
I guess more information should be requested here.
I've suggested it may be a duplicate of the canonical "black screen" question as that seems to be what the OP described in a comment.
seems dupe (see second comment)

@EliahKagan thanks!

@Natty Can that be edited into shape? Installing pip does not by itself install youtube-dl, but it does make it possible to then install youtube-dl with pip.
