@Kulfy btw please don't feel at all obliged to accept my answer on meta
in general I like to avoid accepting answers to discussion questions because it seems fairer to respect the votes
acceptance is like a hammer in the hands of the OP...
on the site, it just means, yeah, this worked for the OP
but on meta, it gives the impression that this is our policy, like it or lump it
accepts on support type questions and others don't have that issue
and sometimes I have accepted an answer when I've asked a discussion question. But I do think it signifies more than OP might intend.
An example of a time when I think it makes sense for an answer to be accepted on a discussion question is when it's a single case and the answer that is accepted suggests the action that was actually taken
in other words, the accept can be in a sense retrospective
sometimes I interpret acceptances on my meta answers as an instruction to proceed, if they come before the action has been taken.
In this case, perhaps I have not formulated my recommendations clearly and narrowly enough. This is a problem for meta answers...
@Zanna but I do not always think that the OP is in a position to give that instruction :)
As OP of discussion questions, we often find ourselves in a humbler role than on main.
@Zanna Actually I am waiting for others' opinion too. I respect your opinion though. And yes, thank you for all the help you and others like karel and pomsky are providing me to know about the system :). I am very lucky to have you all as my "teachers" :)
