Dupe. One thing my comment doesn't cover is if are they actually just looking for the 32-bit ISO. They said "64-bit" so I don't think that's what's happening, but I cannot be sure. We have another question somewhere (not one of the ones I mentioned in my comment) about which Ubuntu flavors are available for what architectures and what to do if one's preferred flavor isn't available for one's architecture, right?

10:42 AM
I'm not sure. Holding off in case I can add something additionally helpful to the banner when I do

Some more stuff has come up in comments. The OP still hasn't clarified and might not. The question also qualifies as unclear, at this point, but I'd rather close it as a duplicate. I know this (unclear vs. dupe) is an area we don't always see eye-to-eye on, though. :)

I think it would be better to close that question as a dupe. Others may have the same question and search with similar terms. Variations on architecture terms etc are useful to have... because there are many and people often do not realise they are the same (when they are the same)
@Zanna I mean the 64-bit i386 question (where is seems OP thinks architecture terms that refer to different things are the same)

10:57 AM
@Zanna Oh, you mean you'll have a go at finding a better dupe target for it and VTCing it?
Sorry, I'm confused.

@EliahKagan sorry, I'm being really confusing!
I am going to try to resolve the confusion
I have been talking about 2 things. Thing 1: You said this question is a dupe, and I agree (I think it would be better to close as dupe than unclear), but I haven't voted yet because we might find another target that would be useful.
Thing 2 is the C++ question that I am going to try to write an answer to
(not try to close as a dupe)

@Zanna You weren't being confusing, I just wasn't paying adequate attention. You had made that message a reply to your earlier message on the same topic, so there was no actual ambiguity. I had just wrongly read it as a reply to what I had just said, even though it wasn't.

oh ok, as long as it makes sense now :)

It does. :)

@pomsky To clarify what I said earlier, since I just glanced back at it and realized immediately that it was unclear, in "My view is that the URL parts are not very useful..." I meant by "the URL parts" what you meant by "website" in "title | website".
(unrelated) Should this question have an answer about not using vi?

11:52 AM
@EliahKagan maybe...

12:17 PM
looks like a dupe
Should OP be told to ask two separate questions instead of one?
OT (bug or EoL)

Vim does that too (helpfully)... so does Atril... so yeah if the programs are unrelated they should probably be asked about in separate questions as afaik it's not a system setting?

1:14 PM
This should be rejected, we're not yet sure whether OP is using GNOME shell at all.

Rejected.

Thanks!

Not sure whether OP wants to solve the problem or go back to Windows or just rant politely: askubuntu.com/questions/1025245/…

3:36 PM
yeah... not sure what they are asking there

4:03 PM
Can we get the answer here undeleted? OP would have accepted it: askubuntu.com/questions/1025264/…

voted
but maybe there is somewhere to ping the author... why did they delete?
