@SwiftPushkar Brahma. But four faces are not depicted.
But there is a peacock feeather too. It may be Vishnu. From where did you get this pic? @SwiftPushkar
02:43
@SwiftPushkar You may have got confused chaganti koteshwar rao with chinna jeeyar swami .
@SreeCharan - GM , yes , i don't know both & got confused in names 😀
शुभोदयं @SwiftPushkar
Do you know both of them now? They are different in names and philosophies also.
@SreeCharan - Yoy are correct , the statue looks like a vishnu , maybe some other god , represented as form of vishnu 😊
@KeshavSrinivasan Which scripture has the story of Lord Hayagriva returning vedas to Brahma?
@SwiftPushkar Yes. It is Vishnu represented as brahma. By the marble statue, I guess it is from northern part of India.
Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao is an Indian scholar known for his discourses in Sanathana Dharma. A reader of spiritual pravachanams on various puranams and epics like Srimad Ramayanam, Srimad Bhagavatham, Soundaryalahari, Lalithasahasranama strotram etc., his discourses are widely followed and are telecast over television channels such as Bhakti TV and TTD and is quite popular among the Telugu speaking people all over the world. Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao an eminent preacher, born to Chaganti Sundara Siva Rao, and Suseelamma. He married Subramanyeswary and blessed with two children Shan...
@SwiftPushkar ^^^^
@SreeCharan - i think the peacock feather is in Mukuta मुकुट ie later added ,but not part of original statue.Yes will read that later on , thanks :)
02:56
@SwiftPushkar That peacock feather is only added to Lord krishna. It represents celebecy of Sri Krishna.
03:08
*idol
@SwiftPushkar In the crown, there are two feathers. I can't understand why is that.
03:29
@SreeCharan - May be , shree krishna or vishnu as Veda- Purusha वेद पुरुष , just a guess , 4 books in 4 hands 📗📘📙📗
@SwiftPushkar Yes. may be. Where did you find the pic? Good find.
@SreeCharan - Just found that , on google images , don't know abt the site , and you are somewht correct , i have seen such idols in many new temples here.
@SwiftPushkar What did you type in the search box?
@SreeCharan - can't remember , that pic.is in my tab since long , lot's of images of various gods downloaded , so can't tell exactly ,
@SreeCharan - Marble idols of god's might also help
@SwiftPushkar @Tezz@TheDestroyer Do you know the story of Hayagriva returning Vedic Knowledge to Brahma and in which purana it is mentioned?
03:44
@SreeCharan - will look for that , wht are other names of Hayagriva since he is not much known here or may be known by diff.name
9
Q: Who was Lord Hayagriva?

Mr. KI don't have much knowledge about Lord Hayagriva, just known that he was the one who provided vedic knowledge to Lord Brahma,he has horse head, was an avatar of Lord Vishnu, white in color, and symbol of wisdom and knowledge. And this is also not from very trustworthy sources. Wanted to know, hi...

@SreeCharan - Grt.find 😀👍👍
@SwiftPushkar Hayagriva is considered as the source of all the knowledge in Vaishnava tradition like Dakshina murthy(God in tezz's profile pic) in Shaiva tradition.
@SreeCharan - ok , Hayagriva is similar to "
centaur"
@SwiftPushkar No. Hayagriva only has horse head. But a centaur has horse body with human face. The hayagriva incarnation is similar to narasimha incarnation which is half human and half lion.
03:55
@SreeCharan - Yes , that's why said similar , not exact 😊 can you my smilies over your PC?
@SwiftPushkar Yes. I can see but can't type them back.
Dec 23 at 6:46, by Sree Charan
This is a thing I came to know today. Generally a guru's picture is depicted to sit in Virasan(one leg folded and one leg down). Eg Hayagriva, Dakshina murthy.:
04:15
@SreeCharan - yes already seen that ... but i don't know much abt.this The most popular deities here in Maharashtra are - Ganesha , Shankara ,Vitthal ,Dattatraya & krishna ,, mahalaxami , besides there are temples of various saints like "Swami Samartha" "Gajanan Maharaj" Gondavalekar Maharaj etc.but Ganapati & Vithoba are Aaradhya Daivata आराध्य दैवता here in Maharashtra.
@SreeCharan Story of hayagriva is mentioned in Devi Bagavata.
@SwiftPushkar Added the source to the question you mentioned "Why did Rama tell Lakshmana.... our father"?
@TheDestroyer - Hi bro , Namaskaram.. GM ..😊
@SwiftPushkar that answer of Be happy gives three sources Skandha Purana, Devi Bhagvatam and Mahabharata...
@Tezz - Hi सुप्रभात , which answer? @SreeCharan - Yes , the video was unavailable some time ago., thanks nice edit😀👍👍👍
@Tezz - ok , answer of Hayariva 😀👍👍
04:29
@SwiftPushkar Suprabhatam...😀😀 this answer:
8
A: Who was Lord Hayagriva?

Be HappyYes, Lord Hayagriva is the avatar of Vishnu with a horse head. Haya means horse and griva means neck. So the deity with a horse head from his neck is known as Hayagriva. The incident of how He got that horse head is present in different scriptures with slight variations. Once in the ancient t...

@Tezz - Yes , 👍👍
@SwiftPushkar 😀😀👍👍
@SwiftPushkar haha.. just knew that I mentioned you instead of @SreeCharan in that message...
@SwiftPushkar I think you may post a question about the deity in the pic under tag.
04:52
@SreeCharan - yes , will ask 😊👍
@SwiftPushkar Are you telling me to ask? It's your question.
@SreeCharan - No😀😀 ,that mean "I will ask" , not telling you to do so 😊
05:11
@Tezz @Pandya I just posted a question related to Adi Shankaracharya:
2
Q: Is Adi Shankaracharya's commentary on the Adhyatma Patala available online in English?

Keshav SrinivasanIt is well-known that Adi Shankaracharya wrote commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishada, the Brahma Sutras, and the Vishnu Sahasranamam. But there's one commentary that's not as well known. The Apastamba Dharma Sutras primarily discuss the rules of right and wrong, like any Dharma Shas...

@KeshavSrinivasan Hmm... I've just read.
@Pandya Have you heard of the Adhyatma Patala Bhashya before?
@KeshavSrinivasan No, it's new for me.
@Pandya I just found out about it as well. Apparently it's one of the few philosophical works attributed to Adi Shankaracharya that scholars consider to be authentic.
@KeshavSrinivasan ok. Thanks for pointing out.
05:42
@KeshavSrinivasan yes, I had already seen that question...
@TheDestroyer do you have Varaha Purana pdf (Sanskrit English)...?..
05:58
@Tezz No. I don't have.

1 hour later…
07:11
@Pandya No I don't have Sanskrit + Hindi .. I have Sanskrit separate and English seperate..
@KrishnShweta I'm fine here and I hope you are also fine there😀😀...
@KrishnShweta how are you?..
Ah!! I thought you will ask me what I have deleted :D

You lost! That's not the mirror image.
¿¿
Sorry! second chance is not allowed.
07:41
Everything is mirror image in this universe.. Then how can it be that it's not mirror image.. haha..
Because the world is just reflection of the Brahman.. 😁😀
User was removed?...

@KeshavSrinivasan ^^^ (whose account is deleted)...
@Tezz - may be a new user withdrawn himself
@SwiftPushkar yes, maybe..
07:52
@KeshavSrinivasan - also pls. delete the yesterday's comment mentioning my username :)
@sakthi I don't know
@sakthi start with short Upanishads like Kena Upanishad, Katha Upanishad, Shwetashwatara Upanishad, Aitreya Upanishad, Mundaka Upanishad etc....
@Tezz what is upanishads?
@sakthi Upanishads are the Jnana Kanda of Vedas.. they can be called as conclusion of Vedas...
@Tezz - wht. do you think ➡ can we link the idea of "Mangalsutra" to far back in time , when people used to wear ornaments of sea shells and rocks , wood etc.
07:55
@Tezz conclusion means the final answer of objective is in a short format, i am not good in english so only i am asking
@sakthi for instance I'm here posting a short important passage from Chhandogya Upanishad:
VI-i-2-3: Having gone (to the teacher’s house) when twelve years old,
he came back when he was twenty-four old, having studied all the
Vedas, conceited, arrogant and regarding himself as very learned. His
father said to him, ‘Svetaketu, dear boy, you, I see, are conceited,
arrogant, regarding yourself as very learned; did you ask for that
teaching (about the Supreme Brahman) through which what is unheard
becomes heard, what is unthought becomes thought of, what is
unknown becomes known ?’ ‘Of what nature, revered sir, is that
clay would become known, for all modifications is but name based
upon words and the clay alone is real;
VI-i-5: Dear boy, just as through a single ingot of gold, all that is made
of gold would become known, for all modification is but name based
upon words and the gold alone is real;
VI-i-6: Dear boy, just as through a single nail-parer all that is made of
iron would become known, for all modification is but name based upon
words and the iron alone is real – such, dear boy, is that teaching.’
VI-i-7: ‘Surely, my revered teachers did not know it, for if they had
@sakthi Upanishads contains these types of knowledge...
@sakthi which languages do you understand?...
@Tezz english and tamil
@sakthi oh... you may also get Tamil translations of Upanishad... but I'm not sure as I don't know Tamil...
@SwiftPushkar which book contians about ghosts
@Tezz how many upanishads are there?
@SwiftPushkar haha.. I don't know whether we can relate or not...
@sakthi there are about 108 Upanishads avaliable now.. but many are considered not authentic.... There are about 13 principle Upanishads which are most important....
08:01
@Tezz is that 13 enough and can you give me the list
@sakthi - i think ,Garuda purana ,preta kalpa chapter , 👻👽👹👿😈
@SwiftPushkar next to upanishads what to study
@KrishnShweta do you know the answer for my question why bhisma,drona,karna and even yudisthra didnt attai moksha?
@sakthi see in the last part of my answer here. The names are given there..

A: Procedures used for preserving the integrity of the Vedas

TezzVery special procedures are applied to preserve Vedas. Here are some of them: 1) Divisional Protection: Veda Výas divides Veda at the end of Dwapar into Rig, Yajur and Sama so that it becomes suitable for men of Kaliyuga so that they can just study part of it as they do not have enough memory a...

@Tezz are they enough?
@sakthi I haven't read anything :(
(not even single paper)
08:07
@sakthi it's enough if you read all 13 Upanishads... actually it is said that if one fully understands Mandukya Upanishads alone... that is sufficient...
@sakthi - one can practice implementing the teaching , wht he learned from upanishadas , Gita , Ramayana ,MB etc in his day to day life , he can learn abt.yoga or can explore vast knowledge in Hinduism scriptures , he can explore thoughts in other philosophical schools also.
@KrishnShweta that is not paper that is a question in this site
But fully understanding Mandukya is not an easy task... it's just 12 verses... but deep concept inside it...
@Tezz Verses means what?
@sakthi I have posted the whole Mandukya Upanishad in my answer here... see it:.
08:10
@sakthi Yeah!! I mean I didn't read any Puranas, Upanishads, bhagavad gita etc.
2
A: What is Meaning of Omkar

TezzMandukya Upanishad is the shortest Upanishad with just 12 slokas.. It deals with the description of Om. Here is what it says: All this is the letter Om. A vivid explanation of this (is begun). All that is past, present, and future is but Om. Whatever transcends the three periods of tim...

@sakthi can you read/understand Devanagari?...
@KrishnShweta ok but how are you understanding this site is there a trick
@Tezz i never heard of it what is it
@Tezz - same thing with me 😀😀⬆⬆
08:13
@sakthi Devanagari is a font in which today's Sanskrit is written..
@SwiftPushkar hmm...
@sakthi I just read all the posts. That's it :D
@Tezz ok another can you give me
@KrishnShweta see the mahabharatha and ramayana(by sagar arts) and read the works of swami vivekanada it is very simple and is easy
@KrishnShweta - I started with same , gone through posts and then i got some idea abt Concepts in Hinduism 😊
@KrishnShweta i am also in your state
@sakthi what do you mean by another...?...
08:16
@KrishnShweta but some what known
@Tezz sorry another help i asked
@sakthi Yeah!! I have watched Ramayana and Mahabharata TV serials ^.^
@Tezz what to do after this completion of upanishads
@Tezz can you give me the link of these 13 upanishads
@KrishnShweta download and see it twice and mahabharatha is one to be good in these knowledge i am saying this because i am doing it
@sakthi it depends on you... you may practice meditations taught in these Upanishads... eg. Meditation in Mahavakyas like I am Brahman (Aham Brahmasmi), Brahma Vidyas etc.. or you may read Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata etc...
@sakthi Hmm... True.
@Tezz thank you and do you have a link
08:20
@sakthi here is the link to download:
@sakthi it contains all 108 Upanishads.. you may read as per your choice..
@Tezz @SwiftPushkar i didn't get any notification. Why didn't that user upvote any of my post? :P
@Tezz is this in english
@TheDestroyer haha lol....
@sakthi yes, it's in English..
@TheDestroyer Keshava also got notified.. see here: hinduism.stackexchange.com/users/36/…
@Tezz is this in english
@sakthi Upanishads have profound meaning in them. They are Knowledge portion of VEdas or Jnana Kanda of vedas. The other portion is Karma Kanda or ritualistic portion. Adi Shankara revived sanatana Dharma with help of Upanishads.
@Tezz yeah. I think Kesava answered his questions and user accepted it.
08:24
@TheDestroyer - don't know , even haven't got notification abt upvote today , or which answer , it's mystery only @KeshavSrinivasan can solve 😀
@Tezz i am not a bhramin do i need to study the full manusmriti or some portions
@sakthi Manu Smriti is no longer applicable for Kali Yuga. Even present Advaita Adishankaras say the same.
@TheDestroyer no it's not that.. that user upvoted 1 question and 1 answer of Keshav...
@TheDestroyer why garuda purna is brought as it only broughts fear in us of sins and fear causes adharma
@Tezz could be. Either way.
08:26
@sakthi why do you think you should study Manu Smriti.. I think it isn't necessary at all...
@TheDestroyer so we dont have study it or other meaning you are mentioning
@sakthi where did you get this idea that Garuda Purana brought fear and bad luck?
@TheDestroyer the tortures in hell creates fear in us right
@Jedi - Hiii , Welcome To Vendanta & philosophy on Hinduism SE!
@TheDestroyer no... if it was accepted then reputation would be shown as -15 only... but it shows -10 and -5 so, two posts are related.. (my intrepretation😀😀)...haha
08:28
@Tezz ohh.. for me it showed only -15
@sakthi lol... the ghosts described are not like that you see in TV and movies...
@sakthi Yeah. We should be careful while we live here. Dharma must be followed. But i think we can't take all of that literally.
@Tezz i studied it a 50 or 100 laws and it seems to applicable in todays life like EXAMPLE : Dont tell anything to anyone without asked or not asking in proper manner and many of the answers for the questions are coming in manu scripts
@TheDestroyer which scripts are available only for bhramins
@sakthi What Brahmins? It depends on state, you live. Sanskrit is available now in Devanagari which is same as lipi of Hindi.
@sakthi In Andhra, Sanskrit is written in Telugu font but i read in Devanagari as i can understand it.
@sakthi your name is Sakthi... you are Shiva or Shakti?.. 😀😀
08:35
@Tezz i am sakthivel and i put it as sakthi
@sakthi means you are female?...
@Tezz Vel means spear of Kartikeya.
@Tezz Shakthivel is male.
@sakthi the laws inside constitution of Germany are also applicable in our life.. but this doesn't mean that it is necessary to read constitution of Germany... 😀😀 haha...
@Tezz No i am a male that name is for " Goddess sakthi gave her half of her energy in the form of vel(spear) to lord muruga so it is called sakthivel
@sakthi oh ok... sorry for misunderstanding...
08:38
@Tezz i understand and is there other laws to be readed in kali yuga
@sakthi I saw in this site.. Parashara Smriti is applicable for Kaliyuga (not ManuSmriti)...
@Tezz we are devotees of Lord Muruga so there were are using this
@Tezz@TheDestroyer do you have link for parashara smriti
@Tezz Followers of Adishankara MaTh do say the same.
That Parashara Smriti is for Kali Yuga.
I think @Rickross can give you
@Tezz will rickross come to this chat room
08:41
@sakthi who is older Ganapati or Muruga...?
@Tezz I thought "Finally I've got the company of a Girl in chat room" when I saw the name "Sakthi" but OK....
@TheDestroyer do you know the answer for my question why bhisma,drona,karna and even yudisthra didnt attai moksha?
Parashara Smriti
@Tezz lord ganapati is the elder one
@KrishnShweta lol... pityfull😂😂😂
08:43
@sakthi Yes. They are Avatars of Divine beings and they mingled back with their divine bodies. Moskha is not important for them, establishing dharma is important for them.
@Tezz ^.^
@TheDestroyer@Tezz@KrishnShweta@SwiftPushkar all of you know this Lord murugas statue in palani was made of Navapashanam but now it is in normal
@TheDestroyer so they dont think about moksha but take rebirths to save the dharma right.
@Tezz Only doubt for me is why couldn't ganesha kill Taraka. I think this is related to Tattva of Skanda. Skanda's 6 faces might give answer. what do you think?
@KrishnShweta sorry i am a male
@TheDestroyer tarka who is as a lord ganapatis vechicle right?
@sakthi Devas often help Vishnu and Shiva when they take avatars. Yes and they live for a period of Manvantara.
08:46
@sakthi ^.^ OK. are you a student?
@KrishnShweta yes
@sakthi Taraka is demon who Muruga kills.
@TheDestroyer taraka i never heard of . I know suran who was slain by lord muruga
@Tezz If i get answer for the above question, i can post my analysis for question of elder son of Shiva.
@sakthi Shiva marries Parvathi only to beget Muruga so that Muruga can kill tarakasura. What do you call that demon in Tamil?
@sakthi What is the meaning of Tamil word "Muruga"?
@sakthi Do you have a link of stories Murugan killing Sooran?
08:52
@SreeCharan Who is sooran?
@TheDestroyer Muruga is the tamil word of Kartikeya.
@SreeCharan I know that. But want to know etymology of Muruga?
@TheDestroyer He is one of the brothers of Tarakasura. He has special boons from Lord shiva. Soorapadmasura becomes the peacock(vaahan) and rooster on skanda's flag.
Wow!! All are here. except @Pandya :(
@SreeCharan Ohh.. ok
08:55
@TheDestroyer no lord shiva and paravati was already married and sura was torturing devas and lord shiva was in penance and manmatha striked him with his arrows and lord shiva opened his third eye and that flame was not even stopped by anyone and that flame striked the Vana named "Sar" and lord muruga was born and his name is also Sarvana
@sakthi ohh.. Is this mentioned in Tamil Version of Skanda Purana?
@SreeCharan no i dont have a link but i know the story
@TheDestroyer Murugan means "the youth", so it's the Tamil translation of the Sanskrit name Kumara.
@TheDestroyer i dont know but many movies for lord muruga were taken and Avvaiyar also brought many songs of it so only i know this
@KeshavSrinivasan Ohh ok. Thanks! we use Kumara Swamy in Telugu. So, it is exact equivalent in Tamil.
08:58
@TheDestroyer Tamil is the oldest language in the world do you know
@sakthi haha. Sanskrit is oldest. This is moot topic. Better not discuss this here.
@TheDestroyer Taraka asked a boon to shiva that A person who is born through the physical relationship between Shiva and parvati and not delivered by parvati and he should be the commander of the deva's army and kill me by just one strike. Since Kumara swamy is the only one born that way, Ganesha and any other deity couldn't kill taraka.
@KeshavSrinivasan What do you think about stories of Shankara Vijaya? Are they true? It gives info about various persons as different avatars. Shiva as Adi Shankara, kumarila bhatta as Skanda, mandan mishra as Brahma, Ubhaya Bharati as Saraswati.. so on..
@Tezz ^^
@TheDestroyer the government has announced it and in every year in tamilnadu they celebrate SenTamil Celebration and most of all tamil does not mixes with sanskrit, you can see this in google by searching the word "SenTamil" in the search box
@Tezz @SwiftPushkar I don't know any way to find out what user was deleted. If you found a post corresponding to the deleted user I could tell you what user it was.
09:03
@SreeCharan ohh.. where is this boon mentioned? As far as i know, taraka asks boon to get killed by Shiva's son or 7 yr old boy.
@TheDestroyer @sakthi Both Sanskrit and Tamil are divine languages. Tamil was taught to Agastya by Kartikeya.
@sakthi Everything was changed when British came to power. Madurai was heart of Sanskrit Knoweldge in South India when tamil kings were ruling. All those kings conversed with Sanskrit to rest of Bharatha Desa. But Dravida and Arya were got popular only during recent times.
@TheDestroyer I'm skeptical of all that stuff. I'm inclined to believe that Adi Shankaracharya was an incarnation of Shiva. But I don't think Kumarila Bhatta, Ubhaya Bharati, etc. we're incarnations. And I'm extremely skeptical of all the stories of miracles recorded in the Shankara Vijayas.
@TheDestroyer in tamilnadu many kings in that period before british rule were not good and because of those kstriyas or kings many scriptures were lost
@sakthi Also, fanatism was imposed on Tamil people about their language. Now, i see some people even comment that tamil is older than Sanskrit. Sanskrit language is eternal. It has no beginning and ending. Even Brahminism and all these vulgar terms were introduced by Britishers.
@KeshavSrinivasan Is tamil like Sanskrit? That is language of Attributes?
09:08
@KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer do you Tanjai Periyakovil it has NO SHADOW
@KeshavSrinivasan@TheDestroyer that temple was purely made of ROCK by the king Raja Raja Cholan
@sakthi Before British rule there was Muslim rule. Like a lot of Tamil Nadu was ruled b the Arcot Nawab.
@sakthi Are you talking about the Tanjaoor Brihadishwarar temple?
@KeshavSrinivasan - "Tamil was taught to Agastya by Kartikeya." , that's new to me , and yes agree with you on divinity of languages , in fact i do consider all the languages equal ,and respect all indian languages as mine.After all its a gift to humankind (languages) by god.
@KeshavSrinivasan But still Sanskrit is unique. It can never die.
@KeshavSrinivasan Arcot Nawab was a king but he had no rights for entire tamilnadu but he told british that entire tamilnadu was his and for his debt to be lended to british company he selled tamilnadu to british
@KeshavSrinivasan yes Tanjaoor Brihadishwarar temple it has very unique architecture
@KeshavSrinivasan Do you know any puranas which mention Adi Shankara as Shiva other than padma and Bhavishya?
@KeshavSrinivasan But present day Adi Shankaras believe that book.
09:13
@TheDestroyer Yeah, I hate the term Brahminism. It makes it sound like people like me who believe in the caste system are part of a different religion than Hinduism.
@KeshavSrinivasan also Sri ranganthar temple is the biggest temple and it is very known for its height of Gopura
@KeshavSrinivasan All historians in India are left leaned. So, we hear these terms. Even present day media and they can't digest a Right winged Government ruling at centre.
@KrishnShweta So, now 8 users! Have anyone seen/found more than 8 users here?
@TheDestroyer Well, if the Purva Mimamsa school is correct about Mleccha languages being present in the Vedas, then perhaps Tamil is also eternal.
@TheDestroyer in tamilnadu only brahmins know this vedas and very small amount of people know this knowledge do your states many know this?
09:17
@Pandya Nah!! But @TriyugiNarayanMani Is absent :P
@KeshavSrinivasan It should be like Sanskrit to become eternal. How many Dhatus does Tamil have? I doubt these languages are eternal.
@KrishnShweta - haha , good observation & memory 😇👏👏
@sakthi Yeah, I've been to Sri Rangam. I'm a Sri Vaishnava, so Ranganatha has special significance for me.
@KeshavSrinivasan it's importance we give them. Ritualistic portion is important but only rituals are not important. So, all schools can be considered as true to certain extent.
@TheDestroyer See this video youtu.be/IKRepH2-6pA?t=4956 .
09:19
Mr. Alien is also absent...
@sakthi Same here. Only Brahmins know them. But they are becoming corrupt slowly. They are doing for money only.
@KeshavSrinivasan ok
@TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan - which temple you people are talking abt.different architecture , shadow etc.what is the name ?
@Tezz - mr.green
@TheDestroyer same here
09:20
@sakthi By the way, I'm curious, what sect of Hinduism do you belong to?
Oh I mean Ankit Sharma..
@SwiftPushkar Brihadishwara Shiva Temple.
"பெருவுடையார் கோயில் - Peruvudaiyar Kovil" (locally known as "Thanjai Periya Kovil") is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thanjavur in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is also known as RajaRajeswara Temple Rajarajeswaram and Brihadeshwara Temple. It is one of the largest temples in India and is an example of Tamil architecture during the Chola period. Built by Raja Raja Chola I and completed in 1010 CE, the temple turned 1000 years old . The temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples", with the other two being the Brihadeeswarar Temple...
@KeshavSrinivasan sect means caste right
@Pandya It's the first time that there are 8 active users in the room.
3
@sakthi No, I didn't ask your caste, sect means belief system. Like are you a Vaishnava or Shaivite?
09:21
@SwiftPushkar the big gopura in this image has no shadow on the land
@TheDestroyer I don't know why Ganesha didn't kill Tarakasura...
@TheDestroyer - ok 😊👍 @sakthi - ohh i see , so it's a unique architecture 😊👍👍
@KeshavSrinivasan we worship all gods and main lord is goddess Shakthi and Maa Kali
@Tezz Sricharan said is logical and reasonable. But should know where it is mentioned.
@SwiftPushkar yes
09:23
@Tezz @TheDestroyer After watching the video, you will know. The Destroyer will explain to you tezz.
@SreeCharan Yes, I think @KeshavSrinivasan may know if happened earlier.
@SreeCharan Ok...
@Anyone knows the Navapashana lingas and statues
@TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan @sakthi - yes , i remember this temple , seen a documentory abt this temple & rajaraja on discovery channel
09:26
@SreeCharan but i don't know from where Chaganti garu is saying that.
but why words are repeated in name like rajaraja cholachola , is it a style to write names of kings?@sakthi - yes , that's really grt. we are having grt.temple tradition in India😊
@SwiftPushkar Modern scientist once informed in news that they cannot explain this No Shadow concept of building after years of reaserach
@sakthi Oh ok, is your family Shakta or does your family follow Advaita and have Shakti as Ishta Devata?
@SwiftPushkar yes it indicates the chola dyanasty
@TheDestroyer Yes. He also once said about soorapadma asura being changed to peacock and cock. But that video is not available on YT. There must be somewhere. He mentioned "kumarasambhavam" too.
09:28
Shakti is Ishta Devata
@KeshavSrinivasan He worships Muruga.
@SreeCharan Did you read Kalidasa Kumarasambhava?
@KeshavSrinivasan what is advaita and vasisdavaita
@TheDestroyer No. Couldn't find it with english translation. There are only few verses available on the internet. May be I should go to a library or somewhere.
@SreeCharan oh ok... I didn't knew that... which scripture mention it..? Btw do you know upto how much time Ganesha/Kartikeya live (yrs/yugas)... .?..
@SreeCharan I can give you english translation but that was from foreign author.

"No Shadow concept of building " What is it?...
@Tezz I know ganesha participating during fight with taraka.
@Tezz Me and TheDestroyer were discussing about it in our previous messages.
@Tezz the shadow of the gopura does not falls on the ground
@sakthi what is it? Is it temple?...
@TheDestroyer where did you read it..?
@Tezz yes see the above Brihadeeswarar Temple link
09:35
@sakthi Advaita is the belief that the Jivatma (the individual soul) and Paramaat a (the supreme soul) are the same, Dvaita is the belief that Jivatma and Paramatma are different, and Visistadvaita is the belief that Jivatma and Paramatma have a body-soul relationship.
@Tezz Nagara Khanda of Skanda Purana
@Tezz - its a temple very famous all over the world in Tanjawar ,called Brihadeeshwara Temple , built by grt. king RAjaRaja
@sakti Advaita people follow Adi Shankaracharya, Dvaita people follow Madhvacharya, and Visistadvaita people like myself follow Ramanujacharya. Does your family follow any Acharya?
@KeshavSrinivasan Visistadvaita body-soul relationship i cannot understand
09:37
@Tezz
A widely held belief is that the shadow of the Vimana never falls on the ground. .[18] However, several photographs exist showing the shadow on the ground.[19] The temple is said to be made up of about 60,000 tons of granite.
@sakthi Visistadvaita says that all Jivatmas are part of a larger whole called Paramatma, and also Paramatma is the inner self of the Jivatma.
@KeshavSrinivasan we dont have any acharya
@TheDestroyer oh ok...
@sakthi Body-soul relationship means that just as the Jivatma is the soul of the body, Paramatma is the soul of the Jivatma.
@sakthi Oh ok
09:40
@KeshavSrinivasan advaita indicates that the body has both jivatma and paramattma right
@TheDestroyer do you have all volumes of Skandha Purana in pdf...?
@Tezz yes. all 23 volumes
@Tezz but last parts are not interesting. Pligrimage guide :P
@TheDestroyer oh nice... how much mb are they in total..?
@Tezz i think 500 MB
@TheDestroyer ok... upto what page no. is it?...
09:42
@sakthi Advaita indicates that Jivatma and Paramatma are the same thing. It's just that people don't realize their true nature due to Avidya or ignorance.
@Tezz Which one?
@TheDestroyer the 23rd Volume?..
@Tezz do you want total no of pages of all 23 volumes?
@TheDestroyer yes...
@KeshavSrinivasan Dvaita is the belief that Jivatma and Paramatma are different how ?
@KeshavSrinivasan different means both are in seperate way in body ?
09:44
@Tezz i didn't combine them.
@TheDestroyer ok leave it... I just wanted to compare it with Mahabharata...
@TheDestroyer I think there are about 88000 verses in Skandha Purana.. but Mahabharata contains 100000 verses...
@Tezz yes. Mhb is bigger text than SkP
@KeshavSrinivasan advaita and visistadvaita look the same to me as there is no difference as Visistadvaita is jivatma's inner self parmatma and advaita as jivatma has paramatma as its soul (INNER SELF) what is the difference
@sakthi See this
