@KeshavSrinivasan I've already checked that translation .. It's more than 900 page long... and it's commentary of someone... actually I don't want to read commentary... I just want to read plain translation...
01:56
@Tezz I've read chhandogya Upanishad with Adi Shankaracharya Bhashya from Gitapress book that I've purchased. In addition to that, yes, I've two Sanskrit-Hindi scanned version of Chhandogya Upanishad (that I can mail you). I don't have Brihadaranyaka.
02:25
One is Chhandogya Upanishad गूढार्थ दीपिका
03:18
@Pandya oh ok... mail me that... Sanskrit Hindi of Chhandogya...
@KeshavSrinivasan haha.. you have asked question... but I don't think it will ever be answered on this site... if it is answered then you might yourself get answer and answer it...😀😀

@Tezz @TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan @SwiftPushkar I've done some calculation of dates regarding Mahabharata events and arrived at a very interesting conclusion. Of course, all my calculation is based on Sri Yukteswar theory as always. So ascending Kali Yuga ended in 1699 and descending Kali Yuga started in 701 BC. If you add 2400 years(the period of one Dwapara), it will give 3101 BC which is the end of descending Treta Yuga and start of descending Dwapara Yuga.
Interstingly, researches that took place have arrived at a date that they believe marked the start of Kali Yuga and the date is 3102 BC! I arrived at 3101 BC and they arrived at 3102 BC, there is indeed some connection. First of all, 3102 BC marked the start of something which is in sync with the research, the only issue is the name of the yuga.
This research date 3102 BC is a very significant boost to Sri Yukteswar theory because it marked the end of a major Yuga, now we can see how sharp Sri Yukteswar's calculation was, inch perfect and in tandem with the actual events that happened. Krishna departed in 3102 BC although some people say he departed it in 3067 BC, anyways both are close to the end of yuga which is Treta! Both Sri Rama and Sri Krishna were born in Treta Yuga and left the earth in the same yuga as well.
Now, Sri Rama was born in 5114 BC which is 7130 years ago. Descending Treta Yuga started in 8715 years ago so these figures can be used to conclude that Sri Rama was born after 40% of Treta had passed and Sri Krishna was born at the end of Treta Yuga and his departure marked the start of descending Dwapara Yuga.
@ChinmaySarupria Good but still i am skeptical of Yukteswara theory. I believe it if Babaji or Shiva says it personally :P :P . Many Puranas say Yugas are cyclic. So, all things can't be rejected as interpolations or false.
@Tezz "haha.. you have asked question... but I don't think it will ever be answered on this site... if it is answered then you might yourself get answer and answer it...😀😀" Haha yeah, that's why we need to attract more experts to the site.
@ChinmaySarupria I don't think even Yukteshwara would agree with what you're saying. I think Yukteswar believed that the relevant events happened on the border or the descending Dwapara Yuga and the descending Kali Yuga.
07:32
@TheDestroyer "Many Puranas say Yugas are cyclic" Exactly, this is what Sri Yukteswar said. The traditional Yuga theory is not cyclic. A direct jump from Kali to Satya is impossible. Let's take an example - There are just 4 places in the entire world - Russia, China, India and Australia. Let's say you are in Russia and you have to go to Australia, how will you do so? You will first go from Russia to China to India and then to Australia and now you have to return to Russia, how will you do so?
@TheDestroyer You will first go from Australia to India to China to Russia, you won't directly land on Russia from Australia. This real world example can be applied to yugas, yugas should be cyclic and that is only possible, if there is gradual downturn and gradual upturn. The traditional yuga theory is like today is 50 degree hot and tomorrow is December's cold temperature.
@ChinmaySarupria kali to Satya is possible.

A: How qualities of humans change drastically from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga?

The DestroyerYugas won't change suddenly. There are transition times between Yugas. Chapter 29 and 31 of ANUSANGA in Brahmanda Purana (Pg- 287-313) describe them in detail. Indra narrates this to sage Suta. 3-4. There are six aspects to be mentioned in regard to set of four Yugas.viz. Yuga Dif...

Yes. when tamas reaches its pinnacle, it becomes Satva.
@TheDestroyer There is yuga sandhi in Yukteswar's theory as well.
@ChinmaySarupria But i believe the traditional one for now as logic there looks good for me. Even from my experience, i know cases where too much of Tamas was transformed to Satva by self realization
@TheDestroyer Babaji/Shiva himself told Sri Yukteswar to write "The Holy Science" so Rudra wants us to know that traditional theory is wrong.
@ChinmaySarupria Haha. May be this is also Maya of Shiva.
07:40
@TheDestroyer Haha no, Rudra took Babaji form to take us beyond Maya.
@TheDestroyer Maybe by the grace of Babaji, we will have his darshan, even Lahiri Mahasaya met him after 30 years so we should be optimistic we can meet Babaji as well but we must call him daily because after all, results are only achieved when something is done every day. What other people do is that they want to meet Babaji and go to Himalayas, remember him once or twice and then when he doesn't come, forgets about him.
07:58
@ChinmaySarupria Yes. He may be Dakshinamoorthy, who knows. We can try all possible ways to get His darshan and learn under Him.
08:31
@Tezz I just answered my question:

A: Did Kumarila Bhatta believe in Nishkama Karma as a valid means to Moksha?

Keshav SrinivasanKumarila Bhatta believes that Karma Yoga is the only path to Moksha. Contrary to what I thought, Kumarila Bhatta did not believe that Atmajnana directly granted Moksha. Unlike Adi Shankaracharya, who believed that you can get destroy your stock of Sanchita Karma through the fire of Jnana, or R...

@KeshavSrinivasan Why wouldn't Sri Yukteswar agree? He only talked about the yuga system and not when Ramayana and Mahabharata happened.
10:32
@ChinmaySarupria He talked about Parikshit and all that.
10:47
@KeshavSrinivasan haha.. so you yourself answered the question...😀😀
@ChinmaySarupria I believe in Traditional Yuga theory upto now.. but totally do not discard Sri Yukteshwor theory...
11:06
@KeshavSrinivasan Btw, what do you think about:
> A Karma Margi may give more stress on performance of Karmas and duties according to Shastras. A Jnana Margi may give more stress on learning, contemplating and implementing the essence of the scriptures. A Bhakti Margi may involve himself more in worship of his Ishta_Devata. A Raja margi may involve hismelf in implementing Yama, Niyama etc. But for sake of spiritual progress, they must incorporate tenets of other paths.
11:28
@KeshavSrinivasan He might have talked about Parikshit because Parikshit did existed but how is that related to his yuga theory?

13:59
@Tezz so, have you got Chhandogya Upanishad Hindi translation?

Hey all - finally found record's of climate change events in bhagvatam 😊

1 hour later…
16:57
@Tezz By the way, now I know that Kumarila Bhatta believed that Nishkama Karma is the only path to Moksha, but I still don't know how he felt about doing your actions for the sake of Brahman.
@KeshavSrinivasan - "vannakam" thanks for approving tag wiki , if you found something missing , pls edit the TAG. :)
@SwiftPushkar Vanakkam
@Pandya Well, Sri Vaishnavas believe that there are two paths to Moksha - Bhakti Yoga and Sharanagati. And we believe that Bhakti Yoga involves also doing Karma Yoga and Jnana Yoga. It basically consists of the entire set of teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
@KeshavSrinivasan - i think the signs of Kaliyuga started appearing slightly before shree krishnas departure ie. in the form of climate and other changes. as verses in bhagvatam states .wht you think or that verse is used in some other context ? vedabase.com/en/sb/1/14/3
17:23
@Pandya No, I haven't got... you may mail the book to @TheDestroyer and he will mail me...
@SwiftPushkar Those changes occurred after Krishna departed the Earth.
@KeshavSrinivasan Oh ok...
@Tezz🙏
@KeshavSrinivasan - oh ok :)
@SwiftPushkar By the way, those phenomena are also described in the Mausala Parva of the Mahabharata: sacred-texts.com/hin/m16/m16001.htm
@SwiftPushkar 🙋🙏🙋
17:32
@KeshavSrinivasan - "Winds, dry and strong, and showering gravels, blew from every side. Birds began to wheel, making circles from right to left. The great rivers ran in opposite directions. The horizon on every side seemed to be always covered with fog. Meteors, showering (blazing) coals, fell on the Earth from the sky. The Sun’s disc, O king, seemed to be always covered with dust. These circles showed three hues. Yes , detail description of events , nice find :)
Fierce circles of light were seen every day around both the Sun and the Moon
amazing :)
@SwiftPushkar no... they are different...
@Pandya ok so.. I'll write here .. you note and I'll remove it... Ok?
@Tezz - ohh ok , just saw it on wiki , i thought they are same :)
@Tezz another option is: you can mail me (address is available at my profile page)
@SwiftPushkar I think new note of 2000 has come..? Has money crisis ended there...?
17:38
And I'll get your address. How about it?
@Tezz - no its still there , people are getting new notes , but there is problem of change . so there is still problem in cash transactions. but those who have cards are using them.I was standing in line for 2 hours yesterday just for RS. 4000/-
@Pandya oh ok Thank you!.. I just mailed you...
@SwiftPushkar oh ok... several days have passed without watching / reading any news...
@Tezz - also from tomorrow no old notes will get accepted in GOV. offices , petrol pumps etc. so its a deadline. the decision of demonetisation is good, it has resulted in cash crunch.
@Tezz - wht abt tv ? is doordarshan telecast available as open to air in Nepal ? do you get the reception ?
@Tezz - just found out - "The Indian Government is to install eight terrestrial television transmitters along the country's border with Nepal, which could enable the broadcast Doordarshan content to 65% of the population of Nepal.
@SwiftPushkar in my home dish home is connected for channels...
But it has been several days I haven't watched any news...
17:51
@Tezz - oh ok , got the point 😊
@Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan @Pandya @TheDestroyer - Bye , will sleep now GN , TC :)🌛
@SwiftPushkar Goodnight😀😀...
@SwiftPushkar Good day for me, good night for you :-)
@Tezz By the way, in addition to posting a question about how Kumarila Bhatta felt about offering actions to Brahman, I may also post a question about what Mimamsakas who believed in Brahman thought about the relation between Jivatma and Paramatma.
@Tezz Mimamsakas believed that Jivas are all omnipresent, and I assume the ones who believed in Brahman would believe that Brahman is also omnipresent, so it would be interesting to see their theories about the relation between the two.
18:06
@KeshavSrinivasan haha.. ok post it...
@KeshavSrinivasan Mimamsakas may believe Brahman is not omnipresent... haha😀😀 ... who knows...
18:48
@Tezz Haha yeah, Mimamsakas believed all kinds of crazy things. They didn't believe that Brahman had anything to do with the Vedas or with the creation of the world. (They thought the world was eternal.) And they believed that it was impossible for Brahman or any other being to know everything.
