@TheDestroyer @Tezz What is serial voting reversed? Did any one had this?

@SreeCharan when some user continuously votes on the same users post in same time... then that voting is reversed... it's called reversing of serial voting...

@Tezz OK. Some user voted to my posts.

@SreeCharan Yeah I just saw it...

@TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan @Pandya Can moderators see who voted my posts?

@SreeCharan I also had voting reversed in Hinduism SE while I used to live in previous hostel... It was because my roompartner wanted to join Hinduism SE and he used my mobile but different browser ..

5:02 AM
@Tezz What if that user found my posts useful?
@Tezz Ha Ha..
@Tezz He voted all your posts?

@SreeCharan Moderators can't see who upvoted... but we can know.. he is:
Either Sar or Dup...
Both users used the max. 40 votes yesterday...

@SreeCharan From help center:
> Moderators can see more data in the system, including vote statistics (but not ‘who voted for this post’) and user profile information

@SreeCharan I think he voted nearly all of my posts... He was (is) a staunch devotee of Shiva... and I primarily write answers related to Shiva... I think he voted nearly all answers which glorify Shiva...
I'm not sure whether other users votes were reversed or not...

I was surprised I got mortarboard badge. @Tezz

@TheDestroyer did you shared Puranas with me after changing email id?... I'm not able to download Puranas now...Why?..

5:11 AM
This was one of the badges I thought i would never earn.

@SreeCharan at least it helped you to earn that badge... 😀😀😀
@TheDestroyer Oh sorry... I can download now... after clearing data....

@Tezz With reputation lost, what is the use of badge? 😀
@Tezz Only 8 earned disciplined badge.

@Tezz ok.

@SreeCharan The use is 'Even if the reputation is lost but the badge is still there.' 😀😀

@SreeCharan Mods can't see who voted. Only SE developers have this option but they don't use it.

5:20 AM
@Tezz Yes. Badges are not gone. There is a way to earn disciplined badge.

@SreeCharan To delete ones answer... isn't it?...

@Tezz But rep is lost. Without losing rep., you can earn it.
@TheDestroyer @Pandya. Did you see these answers?

A: At what age was Lord Krishna killed by the hunter?

Manohar PatilLord Krishna disappeared from the material world at the age of 125. @SreeCharan how to earn without losing reputation....

@SreeCharan He copy pasted his blog.

5:25 AM
Part of answer 1 is same as answer 2. Instead of posting the same part from other answer, he might have just linked it. @TheDestroyer @Pandya

Is this really needed in the answer - There are many misconceptions about this because some people do not study the Vedic texts properly and out of curiosity and half-knowledge makes some baseless conclusions like Lord Krishna died from just an arrow by Hunter Jara.
not a good tone i feel

@TheDestroyer IMO, quoting from blog is not wrong if they mention the scriptures. But copy paste is not good. Modification necessary.

@anuvaramban He is Gaudiya Vishnava or ISKCONite. So, they answer from Supreme Perspective of Krishna. He can't digest the statement that Krishna left his body after getting hit by arrow.

@TheDestroyer That is fine, i'm not saying his POV is wrong, i'm saying he should be a bit more nuanced.
@TheDestroyer I don't know why but i feel in general ISKCONites are aggressive in peddling their POV.

@SreeCharan Yes. He should paraphrase instead of copy pasting.

5:37 AM
@TheDestroyer Yes.

"some people do not study the Vedic texts properly" I'm not sure how can one get information about death of Krishna by reading Vedic texts....

@Tezz Yeah. i think he meant Bhagavatam. But that is puranic text.

He added in his answer. While there are four vedas, scholars say, itihasas are the fifth veda. So he said it in this context. @Tezz @TheDestroyer

@SreeCharan Oh ok... I didn't see it..

@Tezz It's a secret. :P

5:47 AM
@SreeCharan haha... 😀😀

@TheDestroyer Which post did you delete? Your own post on 26 jan to get disciplined badge.

@SreeCharan when?
@Tezz i earned it without losing rep but i deleted my answer.

@TheDestroyer how?..

@TheDestroyer Rep gets lost when you delete your answer.
With votes

@SreeCharan i didn't lose

5:55 AM
I think I should delete my this answer hinduism.stackexchange.com/questions/15094/… to earn disciplined badge...

@TheDestroyer May be you did not notice.
@Tezz No need to delete that answer. That answer looks good.

@SreeCharan No.
@SreeCharan Check rep on jan 26 in my profile.

@SreeCharan but that answer is already present in Students answer... I will lose only about 50 reputations..

@anuvaramban then how did he die ?

@Tezz you don't lose any rep. I didn't lose.

5:58 AM
@RakeshJoshi I was talking about the part where he says, "There are many misconceptions about this because some people do not study the Vedic texts properly and out of curiosity and half-knowledge makes some baseless conclusions"

@TheDestroyer I lost 15 rep when I deleted a question.

I think SB should be rejected if it contradicts MBH

So I'm going to delete that answer... let's see what happens...

@Tezz Ok. Let's see what happens to rep.

@TheDestroyer upto now no information .... neither disciplined badge... nor loss of reputation...

6:03 AM
@Tezz Ok. Wait for sometime.
But i don't know why i didn't lose rep.

@TheDestroyer Yeah...

@Tezz You earned disciplined badge. Did you lose rep?

@SreeCharan I haven't lost yet... but I'm not still notified that I earned disciplined badge...

@Tezz But i lost rep when i deleted this answer.

6:19 AM
@TheDestroyer Oh so... we do not know the mystery of losing reputations...

@Tezz I think answers written long ago are not affected. Let me search meta SE.

@TheDestroyer Yeah... I also guess the same....

@TheDestroyer But it isn't shown in your reputation.
@Tezz It will be not shown in achievements bar. but if you observe, the number will decrease.

@Student चतुर्भिस्सहितः शिष्यैश्शङ्करोवतरिष्यति is from bhasya or exact sentence from Vayu Purana? — The Destroyer ♦ Sep 24 '16 at 10:57
@TheDestroyer have you found ^^^ in Vayu puarana?..

@Tezz It is from Shiva and Linga Purana as said per Kamakoti.
But i searched both of them in docs. I didn't find.

6:23 AM
@SreeCharan No, I haven't lost yet... I had checked my reputation before deleting and it was 14769... and it's still same...

A: Are there any other Puranas that predict Adi Shanakaracharya besides the Bhavishya Purana?

The DestroyerYes, other Puranas do mention about prophecy of Adi Shankara. As per Kamakoti Site, there are references to Adi Shankara being Avatara of Lord Shiva in Kurma Purana, Markandeya Purana, Aditya Purana, Shiva Purana and Linga Purana. Among them, i found exact verses in Chapter 30 of Kurma Purana. ...

@Tezz

@TheDestroyer yes, I've already seen that answer...

That answer has link of Kamakoti. They mentioned that verse is from Shiva and Linga Purana.
I think South Indian manuscripts have that verse.

It translates Nilalohita as brown complexion haha...

@Tezz haha.

6:25 AM
@TheDestroyer yes, it may be in southern recensions...

Nila = blue Lohita =red. Nilalohita = brown?

@TheDestroyer is red+blue =brown... ?...
@TheDestroyer In any case Nilalohita means half blue half red...

@Tezz i think Purple.

@TheDestroyer Atharvaveda says his front is blue back is red:
7
A: Why is Lord Shiva called NilaLohita?

TezzThe blue (Nila) and red (Lohita) colour represent Purusha and Prakriti. Since both Prakriti and Purusha merge in him, he is called NilaLohita. Linga Purana 2.18 states it as: नीलश्च लोहितश्चैव प्रधानपुरुषान्वयात् । स्कंदस्ते यतः शुक्ल तथा शुक्लमपैति च ।। He is of both Blue and Red colour...

Nila means black, blue, brown, etc., many meaming. @Tezz @TheDestroyer

6:29 AM
@SreeCharan I don't think Nila in any sense can mean brown... at least it can mean black.

@Tezz shyama has the meanings I said above.

http://i.stack.imgur.com/XqOHq.jpg

@SreeCharan

@Tezz Nila means dark coloured'

@SreeCharan Nila primarily means blue.. "Nila Aakash" blue sky..
@TheDestroyer I haven't lost reputations yet.
.

@Tezz I think you won't lose.
@SreeCharan I think Shyama means dark. Meghavarnam in case of Vishnu. You can see Venkateswara Statue which is svayambhu and it is black. But I think Nila is blue

6:36 AM
@TheDestroyer Nila has highest frequency and Lohita has lowest frequency in visible spectrum...😀😇

@Tezz If Nila + lohita = Purple or violet, VIBGYOR. Starts with Violet ends with Lohita. Shiva resides in all frequencies. haha. Even in all Spectrums.

@anuvaramban What do you exactly mean by properties of time

If xter = fghi then what?..

@Tezz then he is an eX fighter o.O

@anuvaramban Time is not just future looking, you can look in past as well. You can see your own birth.

Thank you for making my day,

@ABcDexter Hitler thought that original Aryan race was Germans. This all happened when historians claimed that Aryan race came to India from central Asia and Europe and they invented Sanskrit. Due to excessive fanatism for divine Aryan race, world war 2 happened. (Fanaticism of hitler and persecuted jews.)
Dec 30 '16 at 4:48, by Keshav Srinivasan
@TheDestroyer Yeah, Hitler definitely had a good opinion of Hinduism. Madam Blavatsky saw Hinduism as the closest to the original Aryan religion.

@ABcDexter your explanation is also nice... ex fighter... 😀😀

Yes, precisely.

Hello folks

hello...

7:42 AM
@ChinmaySarupria Interesting, can you point to the verse that talks about this?
@ChinmaySarupria it's a bit abstract i agree but some examples are: How is the passing of time experienced, is this same for everyone? if so what aspect is same? (all of this in consideration/accordance to the vedic verses on the same)

8:12 AM
@ABcDexter Shyaam has more than one meanings. Krishna and Rama were not completely black.

A: Depiction of Rama and Krishna

Q: Ancetode behind the incarnation of Nara and Narayana vis a vis Arjuna and Krishna

Naga Venkata KrishnaAdiseshu wipes out all others except Nara and Narayana who become as incarnations of Arjuna and Krishna. As the story unfolds only Krishna and Arjuna match wave lengths. Can any one give more clarity to this topic on which I have a vague Idea. I am very keen to know it from anybody

@AnkitSharma - Hii ,Whats up 😎 , How R U , Whats hot on ➡🎬&📺

It's all fine

11:23 AM
@anuvaramban I am not sure of any verses talking about past but seeing in the past in technically possible, practically not. Take for example - Betelgeuse, it's a star located 700 light years away from Earth which means light from it takes 700 years to reach Earth which further means the Betelgeuse we see in night sky is of 1300 and no 2017! Because the light of Betelgeuse in present time is still travelling and hasn't reached us and won't reach us till year 2700.
@anuvaramban Now let's apply the same logic with one condition that we are now present on Betelgeuse instead of Earth. If we were present on Betelgeuse now, i.e, 2017 we won't be able to see what is happening on earth in 2017 because the light will take 700 years to reach Betelgeuse. But here comes the interesting part - the light currently present on Betelgeuse is 700 years old, that means we can see the start of Mughal dynasty or whatever happened around 1300.
If we have to go further back in time, we will have to go to a much farther planet or star so that light will take more time. Ex - If you were born in 1990 and were 1 year old in 1991, then you could go to a place that is 26 light years away, on that planet light of 1991 will arrive and you will be able to see yourself when you were 1 year old. Similarly, you can go to a farther galaxy like the Andromeda or any star that is far enough to see the time of dinosaurs.
If at the moment, we humans somehow put a gigantic poster on the face of earth so that someone could see it but technically, the same poster could be seen infinite times because all you need to do is go to far away places and witness the same thing all over again.
But there are some problems - first we humans must make something that will help us go to such places but an advanced spaceship won't help as it can never cross the speed of light so we won't be able to see past but here there are 2 possible solutions - either you are a yogi and can travel with the speed of mind, you think of a place and instantly land there or you create what is known as a wormhole. It's a concept, scientists are working very hard on it, not much information is available
but they are optimistic that it can help connect one universe to another or 1 point in space to another. Let's say such wormholes and spaceships are created and we are successful in going to another place in a blink of an eye, how will we watch what's going on on earth from a star located far away? We need instruments that can enable us to zoom a lot so we can clearly what's going on.

11:44 AM
@ChinmaySarupria I am aware of this effect due to finiteness of speed of light, how is this a property of time though? It is a property of physical light na.
@ChinmaySarupria Have you heard of the Alcubierre drive?
