8:46 AM
@Tezz - see one comment on this

@Tezz - actually i live far away from his state , and already know agnihotra well , just asked that question about knowladgebase , šŸ˜‚ lol , he thinks i am from tamilnadu but i am from maharastra lol

@SwiftPushkar he performs Homams...

@Tezz - yes i know :)

@SwiftPushkar so.. automatic opening stopped or not...?

@Tezz - its frequent but not constant , sometime that happens , but experienced that phenomina 4-5 times

@SwiftPushkar ok.. maybe some device or server problems...

8:58 AM
@Tezz - you were knowing abt agnihotra , i mean over there people do that ?

@SwiftPushkar I know somehow little.. but people don't do here... they just do normal prayers...

@Tezz - ok , even here lot's know abt that but very few do that , because of not getting time or so.. and hektic scedule etc.

@SwiftPushkar ok...

9:14 AM
@Tezz - may be " ą¤Æą¤¾ ą¤¦ą„‡ą¤µą„€ ą¤øą¤°ą„ą¤µ ą¤ą„‚ą¤¤ą„‡ą¤·ą„ " one
@Tezz - just added comment :)

@SwiftPushkar yaa devi sarva bhuteshu is for Durga/ Parvati especially...
Because after finish of prayer Rishis say...
ą¤ą¤µą¤‚ ą¤øą„ą¤¤ą¤µą¤¾ą¤¦ą¤æą¤Æą„ą¤•ą„ą¤¤ą¤¾ą¤Øą¤¾ą¤‚ ą¤¦ą„‡ą¤µą¤¾ą¤Øą¤¾ą¤‚ ą¤¤ą¤¤ą„ą¤° ą¤Ŗą¤¾ą¤°ą„ą¤µą¤¤ą„€ą„¤
Although can be used for other Goddess too...

@Tezz - yes :) and and i think " ą¤¬ą„ą¤§ą„ą¤¦ą¤æ ą¤°ą„‚ą¤Ŗą„‡ą¤£ ą¤øą¤‚ą¤øą„ą¤„ą¤æą¤¤ą¤¾" is for saraswati :)

@SwiftPushkar yes it can be used for Saraswati... but in Chandi Gods pray to Parvati with that prayer...

@Tezz - ya :) n thanks for shlokas from comment , i have taken that , they are new to me šŸ‘

@SwiftPushkar but there are different Dhyana shlokas for each chapter.. but Partha is telling only 4 slokas are there... I'm not understanding what is he hinting...

9:30 AM
@Tezz - IMO , he wants different shlokas for each day , and of laxami , saraswati , assined for each seprate day or so..

@SwiftPushkar he is not also clearing whether he wants Dhyana sloka or other prayers...
There are simple slokas consisting 4 lines to be recited on these 9 days to the devis.

@Tezz - i think he don't want dhyana shloka , but general shlokas

@SwiftPushkar ok... but what I have posted in comments are Dhyana slokas...

@Tezz - its ok , we are guessing , so ... That would be trial n error

@SwiftPushkar haha...

9:37 AM
@Tezz - šŸ˜Š

Hey all

@VladimirVasilev hi... how are you...?

@VladimirVasilev Hello...

@SwiftPushkar he is telling "will cross check and tell tomorrow--probably in North you people may tell those slokas but in south there was a publication from kanchi mutt in 1975 by HHMaha periava. Will confirm tomorrow. ā€“"

@VladimirVasilev - HiišŸ’

9:42 AM
@Tezz Another day in the commercial grinder

@VladimirVasilev what do you mean by that...

@Tezz boring work with no end in sight. Just grumbling

@Tezz - Yes , in north and west ( me) we don't depend on peetham or muth as such , but people know general shlokas and mantras , they are common

@VladimirVasilev ok... make your mind to think it is interesting work..šŸ˜€

@Tezz I have a question - if Hinduism teaches you to more or less not take action, and just do your work, this becomes a really nice slate for slavery and reproduction of a false society
@Tezz besides it more or less reinforces the caste system in India, which again seems flawed
@Tezz same way with Zen Buddhism - its creator Suzuki said that all soldiers must reach enlightenment, so they can fight more effectively and without distraction

9:55 AM
@VladimirVasilev just do your work means work that which we are interested....but without attachment in that work..

@Tezz but in many cases this means just mindless slavery that helps the system that put it in the first place

@VladimirVasilev you mean when one is slave then one should continue doing slavery?...

@Tezz basically by just working without attachment you're working for fortifying the social norms that actually bind other people and probably make them miserable
@Tezz for example - if a minimum wage slave works in a factory, he reinforces the idea that people should be paid this minimum amount, and actually reinforces the bad living conditions of all others there
@Tezz so just being passive and not thinking about the impact of your work may be detrimental to others

@VladimirVasilev one can also do with attachments... but that Karma binds him.. he takes next birth to fulfill his unsatisfied desires... and so on and so on...
@VladimirVasilev it doesn't mean being passive... it means work in such way that it's desires do not bind one...

@Tezz so this loophole allows you to work in a weapons factory if you're not bound to it

10:01 AM
@VladimirVasilev yes definitely... Arjuna didn't incurred sin in killing thousands as he was not bound to it and simply obeying the Lord and the Dharma..

@Tezz This is what I didn't get about the fight in Bhagavad Gita - why was doing this fight justified? It was just a political decision between two parties that brings misery to lots of good people
@Tezz how is it the Lord's decision
and if it is because it is, why isn't the Lord's decision for me to not search any spiritual enlightenment and just live as I will

@VladimirVasilev doing the fight is justified because Arjuna and other Pandavas are fighting for his right which Pandavas should get....
@VladimirVasilev it is Lords decision because Lord (Krishna) was instructing him...
@VladimirVasilev you arenot getting direct Lords instruction because you arenot eligible for it till now.. you do not have high good karmas and devotion which makes God Pratakshya (Live)..

And here's the catch - is there currently a person that is being instructed in this world currently that is famous

@VladimirVasilev there are several persons like Aswatthama, Vyasa, Parashurama etc...

10:27 AM
@VladimirVasilev and you are judging 700 verse Bhagvad Gita as an independent text... it is inside Mahabharata book which is of 100000 verses... so you need to understand whole background story of Mahabharat to understand this...
@VladimirVasilev and if you read whole Mahabharat then you will find neither Krishna is speaking Bhagvad Gita (Brahman was speaking through mouth of Krishna)... nor Arjuna is killing anyone... (Lord Shiva was killing all them)...

@VladimirVasilev You must do your duty. Your duty as king is to protect kingdom and righteousness. There's no wrong in following your Righteous duty. So, As as King, Arjuna can fight in wars.

@TheDestroyer the King is an unnecessary figure. There are no kings today

@VladimirVasilev Ahimsa or non violence is overrated in Hinduism and Buddhism. To be frankly, soldiers can't follow Ahimsa. It depends on situation and mainly your varna which decides profession.

@TheDestroyer as there are no righteous acts besides giving people the freedom and safety to explore their minds

@VladimirVasilev You can apply it to today soldiers.

10:31 AM
@VladimirVasilev and you will also get pastlife stories of all those characters... like how Dhritasrashtra became blind due to killing birds through their eyes in previous birth... and soon all past life karmas... and thus their actions are justified...
@TheDestroyer in Buddhism you can't kill in anycase...

@VladimirVasilev Let me tell you how it works. Actually, Righteousness is relative. What i feel correct may not appeal to you and vice versa. So, Pandavas and Kauravas think they are alone correct. Now comes the question, Who is really correct? After war, all those dead warriors went to heaven even Kauravas. So, Dharma is relative. Same is case with soldiers of all countries who die in wars. They are fulfilling their Dharma (duty).

@VladimirVasilev for eg. When Arjuna again asks to repeat the BhagVad Gita in Ashwamedha Parva.. Krishna/ Vasudeva tells this:
Vasudeva said, ā€˜I made thee listen to truths that are regarded as mysteries. I imparted to thee truths that are eternal. Verily, I discoursed to thee on Religion in its true form and on all the eternal regions. It is exceedingly disagreeable to me to learn that thou didst not, from folly, receive what I imparted. The recollection of all that I told thee on that occasion will not come to me now. Without doubt, O son of Pandu, thou art destitute of faith and thy understanding is not good.
It is impossible for me, O Dhananjaya, to repeat, in detail, all that I said on that occasion. That religion (about which I discoursed to thee then) is more than sufficient for understanding Brahma. I cannot discourse on it again in detail. I discoursed to thee on Supreme Brahma, having concentrated myself in Yogaā€™ā€.

@Tezz This is what i don't like in Buddhism. Ahimsa is great but as a Ruler ot king, you can't stick alone to Ahimsa. You know Gandhi's Ahimsa made a great damage to India, Britishers looted so much of wealth.

@TheDestroyer I never knew there was the concept of Heaven in hinduism. Doesn't this contradict Samsara

@TheDestroyer but Buddhism says no one will do Himsa on you unlesd you have such karmas...

10:38 AM
@TheDestroyer if you have heaven, and it means existing, then there is suffering

@VladimirVasilev Heaven isn't eternal.. It's like earth...
You have more lifespan... divine powers... that's it only...

@VladimirVasilev Swarga loka or Heaven is abode of Devas (something like demi Gods) but people come back to earth after annihilating good karma.

@Tezz it sounds interesting, I would gladly like to experience this before getting out of Samsara

@VladimirVasilev it's somewhat like getting Alien body which is better than human..

what about Asuras, from my limited knowledge they're like devas but more physical and "Tamas"-like

10:41 AM
@VladimirVasilev yes, in Buddhism also there are Maha Brahma worlds, Tusita heaven etc... you might know.. it's similar to Hinduism...

@Tezz But Swargo loka lies in Physical world so, it must be somewhere in this material cosmos. But we can go to there with subtle body as Subtle body bypasses all Physical Laws. Subtle body can transgress Speed of light.

what is a subtle body?

@VladimirVasilev Asuras live in lower realms...
@VladimirVasilev as per Vedas human body is made of five sheaths...
1) Sheath of food (physical)
2) Sheath of Prana (vital force)

@Tezz Indeed Sidhas (humans with activated Subtle body) appear as bright light because they are above Physical universe (or they infinite mass). use If m is infinity, they can travel with speed of light.

3) Sheath of Mind
4) Sheath of Intellect
5) Sheath of Bliss

10:43 AM

A: What are Five Layers (Pancha Kosha) of Human?

Mr. KThe Human body is actually a sheath or Kosha, if we dig deeper towards the soul(Atman), we find five distinct layers covering it, these are called the Five Sheaths or Pancha Kosha. They are : Annamay Kosha : Meaning 'Food Sheath', is the physical body, with hands, eyes, the body which has a ...

@VladimirVasilev See this

Inside Sheath of Bliss is the Atman...

Indeed that is the reason they appear as balls of light to human eyes.

@VladimirVasilev body inside sheath of Food are called Subtle bodies..
@TheDestroyer have you watched some videos in YouTube which shows bright light in Kailash Maansarovar lake...?

@VladimirVasilev Did you read Auto biography of Yogi? He explains very clearly this in his chapter "Laws of Miracles".
@Tezz They could be Devas visiting Shiva with Subtle bodies.

@TheDestroyer no, sadly - how is it called

10:46 AM
@VladimirVasilev Read it. Very good book.

@TheDestroyer yes...

Autobiography of a Yogi is an autobiography of Paramahansa Yogananda (January 5, 1893ā€“March 7, 1952) first published in 1946. Yogananda was born Mukunda Lal Ghosh in Gorakhpur, India, into a Bengali family. Autobiography of a Yogi introduces the reader to the life of Paramahansa Yogananda and his encounters with spiritual figures of both the East and West. The book begins with his childhood family life, to finding his guru, to becoming a monk and establishing his teachings of Kriya Yoga meditation. The book continues in 1920 when Yogananda accepts an invitation to speak in a religious congress...
@VladimirVasilev It's free. You can download it.

@TheDestroyer see this video

@Tezz Ok will see later.

@TheDestroyer ok... a cut short section of same video is here:

10:50 AM
@Tezz haha. is this real?

@TheDestroyer haha.. I don't know .. see and judge yourself...

@Tezz Because in youtube people claim many things. Even i know there are some mysterious lights over Himalayas as reported by Indian Army and Chinese Army but i doubt those videos in Youtube.

@TheDestroyer yes YouTube is not trustworthy... but if you see from beginning ie first Video... then it is somewhat convincing ....

@Tezz I believe they are realized Siddhas and Devas who visit earth. As they are above Physical laws, they appear as light or other radiation (though we can't see it eyes).

@TheDestroyer I also think so...

11:09 AM
@TheDestroyer you can also keep this image in incident 3:

@Tezz Thanks! what is the source?

@TheDestroyer google search is the source.. haha..

@Tezz haha. I am not sure if i can label google for this.

@TheDestroyer yes... I'm also not sure whether it mentions Third Eye or not...

@Tezz I have read about Pippalada on wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pippalada

@Trichakra We need to provide reference from Shiva Purana.

A: How were the Trimurthi born?

The DestroyerChapter six and seven of RUDRASAMHITA Section of Shiva Purana describes how Trimurti were born. Brahma said this to his son Narada. At the time of great dissolution when all mobile and immobile of the world are dissolved everything gets enveloped in darkness without the sun, planets and...

@Tezz last part. Else, i can give that chapter in Shiva Purana.

@Tezz Is it true that SHani will not affect for 16 years from birth?

@TheDestroyer I think Paipplada got that boon....

@Tezz Yeah.
Just read that story.

@Tezz - yes , but i think the pyramid shape might not have much meaning but for used only symbolically , wht u people think ?

@TheDestroyer I think the boon is not to affect severely...

@SwiftPushkar I don't know... @TheDestroyer says similar story about image is mentioned in Shiva Purana...

@SwiftPushkar it is in Pippalada story of Shiva Purana. I think i gave you the link some months ago.

@TheDestroyer @Tezz - ok i thought , the link was given in some time ago during your discussion :) i was not here at that time or so..:)

11:49 AM
@Tezz 5 Samhitas of Shiva Purana are lost.

@TheDestroyer oh lost... which one?...

sorry typed "i" instead of "o". I wasn't seeing keyboard.
The Shiva Purana is one of eighteen Purana genre of Sanskrit texts in Hinduism, and part of the Shaivism literature corpus. It primarily centers around the Hindu god Shiva and goddess Parvati, but references and reveres all gods. The Shiva Purana asserts that it once consisted of 100,000 verses set out in twelve samhitas (books), however the Purana adds that it was abridged by sage Vyasa before being taught to Romaharshana. The surviving manuscripts exist in many different versions and content, with one major version with seven books (traced to South India), another with six books, while the third...
@Tezz I think Vasuki and Shiva story might be present in those Samhitas.

@TheDestroyer @Tezz - also one thing i noticed that there are no "Abhanga" of shiva or shankar , but we can see that , lot's of abhanga for vishnu or vaishnav abhangas , why? Anybody written as such ?

@TheDestroyer yes and I think Sahasra koti Rudta Samhita and Dharma Samhita were important...
@SwiftPushkar what is Abhanga?..

@Tezz Abhisheksha Priyaho Shivaha, Alankara priyaho Vishnuhu

@Tezz I have not read any such story.

@SwiftPushkar lol . i thought Abhang as Abarana.

@TheDestroyer - ohh i got it :) good answeršŸ˜Š

@TriyugiNarayanMani ok...
@TheDestroyer haha..
The Shiva Purana asserts that it once consisted of 100,000 verses set out in twelve samhitas (books), however the Purana adds that it was abridged by sage Vyasa before being taught to Romaharshana.[1] The surviving manuscripts exist in ma

@SwiftPushkar I think due to Bhakti movement which centered around Krishna.

11:55 AM
@Tezz @TheDestroyer - That means shiva likes Abhisheka and vishnu like alankarik poeams , i think:) @TheDestroyer - yes , bhakti moment is behind abhangas and alankarik poeams :)

@SwiftPushkar No. Vishnu likes decorations and ornaments.

@SwiftPushkar I think Alankara there means ornaments..

@Tezz - yes , but in this case the gramatical Alankar :) or so .. word to word literal meaning would be ornaments
But when concern to pooja or worship form which both likes , i took thw meaning in that manner :) just for sakešŸ˜Š

@SwiftPushkar ok... doesn't matter...

@TheDestroyer - but during bhakti movement , why haven't anybody tried to write shiv abhanga ?

12:01 PM
@TheDestroyer I think these samhitas were not lost...
Vidyeshvara Samhita - 10,000
Rudra Samhita - 8,000
Vainayaka Samhita - 8,000
Uma Samhita - 8,000
Matri Samhita - 8,000
Rudraikadasha Samhita - 13,000
Kailasa Samhita - 6,000
Shatarudra Samhita - 3,000
Sahasrakotirudra Samhita - 11,000
Kotirudra Samhita - 9,000
Vayaviya Samhita - 4,000
Dharma Samhita - 12,000
Count total is 1 Lakh Verses...
@TheDestroyer so Vyasa reduced it to 24000 verses as he made shortcut for humans...

@Tezz - are these part of vedas or separately written one's?@Tezz - ohh ok

@SwiftPushkar they are parts of Shiva Purana...
@TheDestroyer if we count total Samhita verses in above we get 48000 verses....
Vyasa still made half those Samhitas too and finally prepared 24000 verses of Shiva Purana...

which included five lost Saį¹hitās: Vaināyaka Saį¹hitā, Mātį¹› Saį¹hitā (or Mātį¹›purāį¹‡a Saį¹hitā), Rudraikādaśa Saį¹hitā, Sahasrakoį¹irudra Saį¹hitā and Dharma Saį¹hitā (or Dharmapurāį¹‡a Saį¹hitā).

48000 verses is without including those Samhitas... only of the avaliable Samhita counting...

Haven't seen @KeshavSrinivasan for a while šŸ˜ƒ

12:08 PM
@TheDestroyer but other Purana say Shiva Purana consists of 24000 verses...

@Tezz ha.
@Tezz Andhaka was born from shiva's 3rd eye.
when parvathi closed his eyes.

@TTheDestroyer oh... where is it...

12:23 PM
Rudra Samhita (Yuddha khanda) ch 43

@TheDestroyer so is it related to Mahabharat story...?

@Tezz Similar but in Shiva Purana, they go to Mandara mountain from Kasi but in MHB they stay on Himavat. I think Himavat is entire Himalayas.

@TheDestroyer so mountain gets destroyed in Shiva Purana story or not?...

@Tezz No.

@TheDestroyer chapter 43 is death of Hiranyakashipu...

12:30 PM
42 sorry

@TheDestroyer so we collected five instances...... Andhaka birth and Paipplada...

@Tezz No. Are these two different instances or one?
@Tezz Only 4

@TheDestroyer I think they were different Parvatis...

@Tezz We don't know scriptural references for Pippalada.

@TheDestroyer I think every Parvati closes eye of Mahadeva playfully... and some incident happens...

12:33 PM
@Tezz haha. Yeah.

@TheDestroyer we can be sure this is different Parvati because... Andhaka was born of Diti in this Kalpa ...

@Tezz Ohh. Ok.

@Tezz I think MHB story of closing eyes happened in this Kalpa.

@TheDestroyer In YajurVeda there is a verse where Gods pray Soma Rudra to return light of Sun and remove darkness of world... I think that verse is actually denoting these stories....
@TheDestroyer yes..
@TheDestroyer Jase added Prajapati Sati event too in answer of Third eye... that too without any sources...
First Time:

It is believed that first time Lord Shiva had opened his third eye was when he was enraged by the death of his first wife Uma

12:47 PM
@Tezz Vyasa didn't just reduce the length of the Shiva Purana, what he did is he divided the original Shiva Purana into two texts, the Shiva Purana and the Vayu Purana. Although he didn't separate the two completely, which is why there is so much overlap between the Shiva Purana and the Vayu Purana.

@KeshavSrinivasan ok... so there are some scholars who think Vayu Purana and Shiva Purana are single books...
@KeshavSrinivasan are Aranyaks eternal word by word... I had a great debate with @brahmajijnasa regarding this matter...

@Tezz he copied this

@TheDestroyer oh...
