@goldPseudo I understand your opinion although I have an opposite opinion, but I cant stand that you're being criticized. Especially that I read on meta that some users have hammered you with complaints.

I do agree that questions which seek multiple perspectives have significant value.

I just don't agree with the idea that people who don't want multiple perspectives should be forced to listen to them anyway.

Especially when you consider that some topics are so diverse in opinion that effectively covering all perspectives in a single answer is pretty much impossible.

And even when multiple schools hold the same opinion, they may still do so based on completely different evidences.

multiple perspectives in a single answer, so far as the Stack Exchange model is concerned, can give a strong surface study to a topic, but it pretty much useless for depth. and we want to attract deep questions because those are the questions that experts are more likely to have.

Honestly I saw some answers that in my sect are invalid and wanted to show the opposite. My purpose isn't to start endless arguments, instead, let the reader choose whatever suits him/her.

But since my idea doesn't serve the purpose of SE Q&A then I have no choice but to take another direction and ask counterquestions.

you'll get a lot of that on here. side effect of being open to all who live under the umbrella of "Islam" is that there's a lot of people who disagree with each other on fundamental levels.

Such questions will be linked to other questions/answers and the reader can easily find them, even though in different posts.

yeah, there's nothing wrong with counterquestions, so long as they're valid questions in their own right.

if it just becomes a back-and-forth discussion spread over a dozen posts, chat is probably better for it.

frankly, the thing that really annoys me about the "all perspectives should be covered" issue is the fact that so many people reduce that to "Shi'a and Sunni perspectives should be covered".

it's not like there's not also significant difference of opinions under the Sunni and Shi'ite umbrellas as well.

which i think demonstrates how pervasive the apologetic/polemic attitude runs here: Polemics from any one side are very inclined to treat "the other" as a single behemoth that all believe the same thing ever.

(hardly limited to Shia/Sunni. i see exactly the same thing in Muslim/Christian polemic as well)
